Australia's Biggest Book Fair is a one-day nationwide fund-raiser for literacy. On Thursday, September 20, 2012, volunteers across the country will be hosting their own miniature book fairs as part of a unified effort with the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation. The event encourages anyone and everyone to bring books to sell to their friends and colleagues, with all proceeds from the book sales going to ALNF to help disadvantaged children learn to read and write.

Anyone can host an event: You only need a group of people and some gently used books to get started. Groups that register will receive a free kit that contains tips and tricks as well as supplies for the event.
