First Book has distributed more than 80 million books throughout the United States and Canada, targeting schools that serve students from low-income families. The group serves more than 25,000 programs, offering both donated and deeply discounted books. Their modus operandi? To promote literacy and increase interest in reading among disadvantaged children.
