The International Book Bank, a nonprofit that donates books in bulk to libraries and literacy programs around the globe, has proof that a single book can change the world. An IBB-donated book taught Goodreads Author William Kamkwamba how to bring electricity to his village in Malawi and spawned his memoir The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. Founded in 1987, IBB's first shipment went to Jamaica, and the organization now ships worldwide, from the Dominican Republic and Swaziland to Azerbaijan and the Philippines. In the spirit of the holidays, help the International Book Bank share the joy of reading!
