It is no secret that I love sheep. Not in the lonely sheep-herder who has not had contact with human flesh in months or years kind of love, but in the walk up and grab the wooly bugger and...well, this is not coming out so good.
It's hard for me to articulate exactly why, how, and when I began loving sheep. It think it was at the Grotto's farm animal exhibit at the Christmas Festival of Lights in Portland about six years ago.

Recommends it for: People who want to know about taking care of sheep.
Raising Sheep the Modern Way is as close to the "bible" for raising sheep as I have found.

I have learned in my year and a half of being a shepherd that there are many opinions on what is the right thing to do in certain situations that come up, sometimes advice is in direct opposition to other advice. It is good to have a reference to turn to for guidance in these situations. What someone chooses after that still may not be the BEST choice, but it will at least be a GOOD choice when using Raisi
