I’m sticking with my original 4.5 but giving the 5th star because I loved the reread and I think knowing how much world building got done in the thick of all the action I’m giving it a bump.
There is a whole lot more going on in this one. We learn so much about their world without any info dumps. Harper’s conflict is evident through the whole story but even more so in this one. She finally is a part of something but it feels all wrong. She’s got the prize of the school (even if he is a douche), p...more
Wow! "Inner Demons" is another great addition to the Peachville High Demons series. How much did I like this second book? Well, let me tell you I gobbled down the first and second book in a matter of hours and now I am off to read the third book in the series.
In this installment, Harper Madison has it all. She is a member of the cheerleading squad and she is dating the rich, handsome quarterback, Drake Ashworth. So, what is the problem? Harper feels as if something is wrong and she cannot quite p...more

Today's review is on The Peachville High Demons series by Sarra Cannon
Since I really couldn't find anything but good things about each book in Cannon's Peachville High Demons series, I simple read each of the four installments currently available, and decided that I would simply provide my review and opinion of the series as a whole. I did; however, provide a review of the first book, Beautiful Demons already.

Inner Demons is the second book in the Peachville High series by Sarra Cannon, and just as good as the first! Once again, I couldn't put the book down. The first book, Beautiful Demons, ended with an excellent cliffhanger and I couldn't wait to get back into the world of Harper Madison! I like the fact that I can't entirely figure out everything that is going on and where things are going within the story. Just when I get to the point of thinking I know which side is good and which is evil, ther...more
Now an official member of the Demons cheerleading squad, Harper soon learns that things are not as they seem and something may be horribly wrong. While seeking answers, she discovers she may have put herself in a very dangerous position that she may not be able to get herself out of.

I will admit it had been a very long gap between when I read Beautiful Demons and Inner Demons. I remembered Harper becoming part of the cheer leading squad, everything else I was a bit lost, almost like Harper, hehe. Thankfully, it came back to me once I started reading Inner Demons. Inner Demons was a step into the darker direction of the Peachville Witches. The first book didn't get too crazy into magic much until the end, this book started our right away with the magic and it kept getting de...more
Discovered Sarra Cannon today via a post on the OLL blog (I actually believe she follows me on twitter, probably via NaNoWriMo, and I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't really think much of it at the time!). I downloaded the first book in the series not expecting to like it even though the premise did draw me in (I'll admit, it may have had something to do with this series being indie, but I do admire the author for taking charge of her career!), but Cannon's sucked me in. Couldn't put either book...more
Harper Madison is not one to dance and cheer nor is she a fashion conscious, style icon, IT girl. So when she is selected to become part of the Demons cheerleading squad, Harper can barely believe her luck. What she soon realizes is that, the squad is nothing like she expected. They barely ever practice routines or cheers. The squad comprises of witches who are trained secretly to be initiated into the Order of Shadows. Years of misfortune finally make sense to Harper! This is where she belongs,...more

It seems like I am devouring this series. I finished the second book in about a day and a half, same as the first! These books just keep surprising me. I think I know what will happen and then it doesn’t happen. That’s a key factor to a great book. Another thing I love about these books is the chapter titles. I know that’s a pretty random thing to comment on. But, if you’ve read the books you probably know why. It always keeps me...more

This is better than the first book, I must say. I am still not that hooked into this but this one definitely has more into it. It presented more and more mysteries to be solved that were quite interesting. It gives a new meaning to the world of witches and demons. The Others and the Order of the Shadows were pretty cool. This has definitely some interesting elements. I wish for more creative writing though, to make me feel more into it. The chants, the summoning words, I don't know. I am just lo...more
Inner Demons picks up right where Beautiful Demons left off, and this new journey isn't any less exciting. I love that Harper is growing and discovering things on her own. Sarra has written a teenager who actually thinks, acts, and reacts like a teenager. And she's made her likeable.
As soon as I finished reading Inner Demons, I immediately bought the third book in the series, Bitter Demons because I don't want the adventure to end. As much as I'd like to slow down so the series won't end, the b...more

This one was just as good as the first one. It developed a lot of the characters a bit more, and we really get to see Harper grow. You learn more about the town she is from, but there are still many questions about her situation. I enjoy the way this author slowly lets you in on the secrets, without making you so irritated to be left in the dark.

Another interesting read. I liked learning more about the Order, don't trust them as far as I can throw them, but find it intriguing. I really like Lark, and of course any interaction with Jackson is fantastic. I found it interesting how secretive the Order is being, I'm surprised they're not trusting Harper with more information. I realise they want to control her, but surely they can that she's not the kind of person to just let things slide, especially when she sets her mind to it. I really d...more

This was such a damn disappointment after BD. The first book was so damn good, and this was well, not. I literally could not find a single reason to finish it and see what came next. Honestly, the plot became just so generic, uninteresting and just not good.
Frankly, Harper became a bland character in this one. She didn't do much til the end, had serious brain farts, and just wasn't likable. None of the other characters felt real,...more

But as more and more secrets are revealed and kept hidden from Harper tries to find out what they are. Will Harper find out before someone tries to kill her?

This is the second novella in the Peachville High Demon series and, I must say, I found it just as engrossing and enchanting as the first book,Beautiful Demons. Told from the perspective of the young recruit, Harper Madison, the dialogues are deftly handled. The uncertainty and angst of the sixteen-year-old protagonist, Harper, resonates throughout. However, through it all, Harper struggles to make the right choices and to discover who she is and what she truly wants to become. She is s...more

5x5 For all 4 books!!
Ok , I read all 4 of these in the span of two days, so therefor I am doing a overall review of them. Love cheerleaders? (I don't really LOL) Love witches? (sure) put them together and you have the Fab squad of Demons Cheerleaders...
I loved everything ... the characters are all well thought out and have depth to them and the world she has sucked you into is vivid. The twists and turns and such you will never see coming and I HEART that so much in a book. Now she is working o...more

Inner Demons by Sarra Cannon is a great sequel to Beautiful Demons. This series is getting more interesting each book!
After reading the first book, Beautiful Demons, I know this series is for me! It is intriguing and the mystery is so mysterious that you are captivated to continue reading to find out more about Peachville.

Well this book answered some questions and I am SOOOO beyond happy Harper got her memories back AND realized what a dumb ass she is dating though she never really broke up with him but maybe that'll happen in the next book. So in this book Harper is learning to control her majic but she also learned the real reason to being a Cheerleader and being a Prima and I gotta say she isn't to happy about any of it. We find out Jacksons big secret in this book when Harper goes to save his life and I can't...more
And it just keeps getting better. Really? Wow. Okay so the cast is mostly the same and almost all of them are developing in some form or another. Even characters that you didn't get a good feel for in the first book are coming into some playing time in the second. Not only are the characters developing but the story line just keeps picking up speed. Just hang on because it will throw you for a couple loops along the way. So far this is a great series. It is fun and entertaining and keeps your at...more

This book was so much better than the first one! This time I was pulled into the story from the beginning and I couldn’t stop. The book actually forced me to read it till the end. There were so many things that surprised me and made me turn page after page after page. Harper didn’t annoy me at all this time and I was actually cheering for her to discover who the murderer was and to rescue Jackson. Although she seriously has to get a new boyfriend, wh...more

If you haven't already tumbled into this series, give it a shot! Despite her foster freak girl status, Harper is now a popular cheerleader at Peachville High...all thanks to some dark magic that she doesn't really understand. The allure of popularity is strong, but pieces of her memory keep slipping through, and Harper senses that there's something sinister afoot. But will the truth be more than she's ready to handle? I flew through this one, and I'm craving more of this excellent series.
Inner Demons is the second book in the Peachville High Demons series, and I really liked it. We get to learn a little bit more of what Peachville is all about and a little bit more about the mysterious Jackson. Of course there is a mystery, I guess really this whole series is a mystery of sorts, the mystery of Peachville, cause this town is not your atypical town. Anyway, the journey into discovering all the secrets is fun to traverse with Harper, though it seems when something is uncovered a sl...more
Oh, can I say cliffhanger?! This second book in the Peachville Demons Series was even better than the first and that's saying something. We start to get some answers, great anticipation plot and love wise, and plenty more to learn. I can't wait to find out where this series is going! I did NOT see a particular twist coming, and I really like the authors take on witches and their relationship to demons. Interesting and different. I recommend this series to fans of paranormal and some YA romance.
I am absolutely loving this series. Once I started, I'd read for hours and then finished it very quickly. The character is a strong, young woman in a difficult situation. She recognizes she is in trouble - in a demon sort of way and takes her time finding the solution. In the meantime, all sorts of other things are happening around her. Fun, interesting and I definitely invested myself in the main character. Moving on the the third book in the series now.
This was book 2 and a much faster read than the first one. I'm really liking this series a lot. I got the 1st 2 books for .99 each and the third for 2.99 for my Kindle. More than worth it.
Sarra Cannon has created a YA paranormal series that's different from others out there. It's a fresh idea, at least from what I've read. I'm so glad they don't involve vampires or I would have had to stop reading them. I'm totally burned out on vampires.

Not so happy that Harper doesn't remember anything from book one. What was the point of even writing the first book is there's no progression?
Can't stand the guy she's with and I'm glad that she does finally figure out that something weird is going on and takes care of her problems, well, at least some of them.
Still looking for that romance between my favorite guy and Harper... will it happen in book three???
Another three and a half stars.

"Inner Demons" by Sarra Cannon was a great book. It was filled with mystery, suspense, and betrayal. Harper has just joined the squad at her new school, but this squad is different. She was chosen for this squad so she could finally learn how to learn her powers and become know into the magical world. I would recommend this book, but only if you actually like fantasy and magic. It's exciting and keeps you n your toes. I absolutely love it!
