"This is the best present ever!"
I really like this sentence because I am very glad to hear this when I give something to someone. On my birthday in this yaer, many friends gave me a lot of precious presents. I saied "This is the best present ever!".

This story is related to father's day. For me, my father's birthday and father's day are coming soon! I have no good idea of present still now. Do

Four friends gather to weed the garden and figure out what or who has been taking bites out of all the strawberries. This early chapter book is divided into ten chapters scattered with black-and-white illustrations. These illustrations help summarize the text without overwhelming the book or making it look too young for its target audience. June Jam is a good mystery story for children who wish to avoid supernatural or potentially spooky stories. Most of the story’s action takes place outdoors, ...more

Recommends it for: children starting to read chapter books
This is another fun mystery in the Calendar Mysteries series by Ron Roy. We tore through the A to Z Mysteries by the same author and now we are patiently waiting for each month in this series to get published. This new series is for younger children, so it's perfect for our girls right now, but they might grow out of the stories before the series is completed. No matter. We've had fun with them and the characters and setting are familiar to us by now.

This story was fun (and quite predictable.)
In the sixth installment of Roy's Calendar Mysteries (starring thee younger siblings of the A to Z Mysteries detectives) Bradley, Brian, Nate and Lucy are getting ready for Father's Day. Bradly and Brian's father misses the strawberry jam his mother used to make. So the gang decides that strawberry jam from the Pintos' strawberry patch would be a great gift. But something or someone has been taking bites out of the strawberries! Polly the Pony, Pal and the dog, and the twins' brother Josh are al ...more

This book was very interesting and how the team always work together to solver mysteries. The author puts a lot of humor to the story and I always feel like the characters are real.
I read this book aloud to my children. They liked it mostly because they enjoyed be A-Z mysteries and they like the characters. The book itself was rather silly.

I am currently reading June Jam by: Ron Roy. I think this book is very mysterious and funny! It has many events that I can connect to like when they can't think of anything for their dad for Father's Day sometimes I can't think of what to get my dad. When they remember their dad loved his mothers jam they decide to make jam for their dad. I like this book so far. I can't wait to see what the outcome of the story and book over all. I recommended this book to people who like humors and adventurous ...more

Good. Our 5 year old liked it and could follow it, our 3 year old had a harder time. Short chapters to keep them interested, pictures every 2-3 pages.
I like this story because mystery is tempting me to read this book further and further.

This book was awesome because it is about a mystery about who is eating the strawberries in their garden. It's a very good book you should read it.
they pick grapes to make their favorite jam. everytime they turn around their grapes are gone. they figure out a turtle had been eating them.
I am planning on using this for one of our summer reading weeks. It will work in well with the gardening week. 1-2 grades
Cute book. Good mystery for kids.
