This bite-sized collection contains six erotic shapeshifter tales.
What struck me most about the collection was the diversity between the six stories. Not only do they cover different kind of shapeshifters/werekin (including werewolves, werefoxes, wereponies, and other), but they also span a wide range of sexualities, including straight, gay and lesbian relationships—although I’d say gay couples dominate the anthology. As such, it’s pretty safe to say there’s something for everyone in Like A Moon...more

Like a Moonrise - Erotic Tales of Shapeshifters, anthology, Circlet Press, editors: Artemis Savory and Cecilia Tan
Full disclosure: I was given this erotica anthology for free for the purpose of review.
Here’s the blurb (taken from the file I was given):
“Like a Moonrise is an anthology of six stories featuring original shapeshifters with a coming of age theme. The stories in this anthology explain what the werefox, werepony, and others face face as they discover thei own changes and the urges an...more

Just started to read it today.
'Fears-Moon-Woman' is quite different to what I was expecting. The serial it is sourced from 'Scryer's Gulch' is gently spoof-ish, but still with a well-planned story arc and engaging characters. 'Fears-Moon-Woman' is quite a serious read, once you get past the amusement value of the notion of were-rabbits. Oh, okay, were-hares. But the serious side, the difficulties of being a were-hare compounded by the marginally habitable area chosen for its lack of non-weres ar...more

A fantastic collection of erotic tales spanning from ancient to modern times. Each author has put their own twist and spin on the were origin, creating their own unique sets of characters and plots all of whom fascinate me. These short glimpses into the worlds they have created make me want more. The collection consists of het, gay and lesbian tales, I enjoyed each and every one them. If you love were tales then this is a must read!
Another quality anthology from Circlet Press. Six well written stories of people coming to grips with changes in their lives, in more ways than one. Discovering that you are a were creature and how you change is enough of a shock. Add to that having to consider how it affects those around you and other difficulties of coming of age and you have the idea of where these stories are starting. The authors skillfully bring depth to their characters as they bring you into their character’s lives.
