You should know by now that if there's one thing I'm really looking forward to it's the end of the world. I don't know why, really. Maybe it's for that feeling that all bets are off, all bonds are broken and you can remake yourself in any image you want. Maybe I really believe that I'll be one of the heroes of the story, who make it through the End Times not only alive but victorious. Maybe I just long to see the world scythed clean of humanity and restarted so the squid can have a go at running...more
A is for Armageddon is a funny, witty and beautifully illustrated book. The artwork alone would have made it worth picking it up in the case of bad writing, but that is not an issue here. Full of pop culture references (many British in origin, after all, the author is British) that made me giggle, and lovely art work that made stare for many minutes at a time, A is for Armageddon is a wonderful read that even has the potential to teach you a thing or to you may not have know before getting pulle...more
This book contained very few things that I didn't already know about. While the information was presented in a very visual and interesting way, I found some of the jokes or wording to a little off. It's good for a quick read or at least a scan of what one would find interesting, but overall, I'd pass on this if I had to choose again to read it or not.
