Doomsday . . . Judgment Day . . .

Day of Reckoning . . . The Apocalypse . . .

As the man with the sandwich board might say, "The end of the world is nigh." Nobody knows for sure whether it will be an act of God, a natural event, or a man-made disaster that causes the final bell to toll for humankind, but it is surely primed and ready to clang.

You should know by now that if there's one thing I'm really looking forward to it's the end of the world. I don't know why, really. Maybe it's for that feeling that all bets are off, all bonds are broken and you can remake yourself in any image you want. Maybe I really believe that I'll be one of the heroes of the story, who make it through the End Times not only alive but victorious. Maybe I just long to see the world scythed clean of humanity and restarted so the squid can have a go at running ...more

A beautifully presented feel good (well it was for me) book detailing all the possible ways in which the world will one day come to an end. The illustrations are lovely and I learned a few things I didn't know. I knocked off a star just because I thought there was a little too much humour and sarcasm where there should have been more facts. A great read though.

A is for Armageddon is a funny, witty and beautifully illustrated book. The artwork alone would have made it worth picking it up in the case of bad writing, but that is not an issue here. Full of pop culture references (many British in origin, after all, the author is British) that made me giggle, and lovely art work that made stare for many minutes at a time, A is for Armageddon is a wonderful read that even has the potential to teach you a thing or to you may not have know before getting pulle ...more

Funny and the perfect bible to forecast the destruction of the human race.
Although they did forget to mention a zombie apocalypse, that is the only downside about this book.
But still you should read it. =)

This book contained very few things that I didn't already know about. While the information was presented in a very visual and interesting way, I found some of the jokes or wording to a little off. It's good for a quick read or at least a scan of what one would find interesting, but overall, I'd pass on this if I had to choose again to read it or not.

A comical & intelligent look at all the currently discussed ways that the world could end. The illustrations are just as wonderful as the writing. I loved it, and definitely look forward to rereading this book!

This was a 21st birthday present from friends whom I have previously bored with apocalypticisms.

Good for a few chuckles that die with worried looks on their faces.

An interesting read with a humorous spin on 'Armageddon' if such an event could be humorous!

A funny, colorful book that taught me that we are all, in no uncertain terms, doomed.
