There are some women who will like this book -- fans of Phil Donahue and Oprah, for example. I realized I wouldn't be among them as soon as I came across the spunky acronym, "WOW" - "Wise Older Women" in the foreward. But the book was short (read in about an hour as I watched the news) and I thought there might be a few gems to be found within the flowery prose ("...we need to kiss our joys as they fly gently to our hearts..."
