This final volume of the saga of the accursed kings brings the reign of John II to life. Though history remembers him fondly, during John II's reign in the 14th century, France found itself facing a series of threatening problems: struggles between clans, England's intention to take over French territories, soaring inflation, crushing taxes, a crisis in the Church, the...more

Indignante.

This is the seventh of 7 books.
They are well written and the author has done a very good job at digging the French history (1200-1400)

Weakest one of the series. Written as a monologue, dry and difficult to read.
Une fin qui s'essouffle.
