The romance part of this rom-suspense novel was excellent, evenly balanced with the suspense all the way through. As always Christy Reece solidly delivers in bk 7 of the LCR series. Actually this is the start of her 3rd trilogy, although I would think a new reader would be lost without starting at the beginning with Rescue Me. Even though I knew Seth and Honor would get their HEA, I found myself anxious for their relationship. Every hero in this series is I want one heart thumping fantastic, Set...more

I have been a fan of the LCR (Last Chance Rescue) series since it first arrived on the book shelves. All of Christy's books are filled with hope, love and loss and Sweet Justice was no different. I loved getting to know Seth and Honor and also getting to revisit some of our past friends from LCR as well as becoming better acquainted with some of the newer members. Christy promised a sick and twisted villain and she totally delivered. I don't know if I was more disgusted by him or his slimy daugh...more

Young female college students are going missing from campuses. Seth Cavanaugh's niece is one of the missing. Honor Stone, ex-FBI agent and now with Last Chance Rescue is assigned the case. This brings the former lovers across each others' paths once again after a hard and unexpected break-up five years earlier.

Sweet Justice is an example of romantic suspense that has a great balance between the romance and the suspense. Honor is strong, independent but caring. Seth is dedicated, committed but sw...more

Sweet Justice is amazing! I couldn't put it down! The villian is soooo BAD! I was cheering for him to meet a slow painful end. The relationship between Honor and Seth had my emotions all over the place. At times it was sweet and at times had me in tears.

Seventh in the Last Chance Rescue romantic suspense series. The couple focus is on Honor Stone and Seth Cavanaugh.

My Take
This is just sick. The romance angle was sweet, but the religious end was just disgusting.

What jerks! Seth's family suddenly needs his "sleazy" contacts, so now they're willing to talk to him? Sure, I can understand their anger, but look at what he accomplished. They should be considering what he's had to go through as well. It wasn't easy for him then. Or now.

I do like Honor...more

Review-
Sweet Justice by Christy Reece is a great addition to the Last Chance Rescue series. This book focuses on Honor and Seth who have a history together. They were a couple when Seth breaks Honor’s heart and leaves her in order to complete his undercover assignment, which Honor knew nothing about. The bulk of this story takes place five years later when that meet again to w...more

My First Chance with Last Chance
He knew exactly what he was getting into when he chose to go undercover to bring down a crime lord the world desperately needed to be behind bars. Seth Cavanaugh had no illusions about what it would take to get the man. Years of his life, for one. But he felt that the sacrifices would be worth it if he could put an end to the man's reign of terror. He gave up his family, hoping they would understand when the truth came out. And it was just bad luck and his own bad...more

SWEET JUSTICE is the seventh book in the Last Chance Rescue series by Christy Reece. And as all the LCR books before it, SJ delivers.
We met Honor Stone briefly in SECOND CHANCE and in all honesty I wasn't sure how I'd like her in SWEET JUSTICE. I was slightly intrigued by her previously, but SJ is a reunion romance and I'm not typically a fan of them. I mean, if two people break up, they broke up for a reason, right? Well, yes of course! Enter Seth Cavanaugh who happened to be working under cove...more

Sweet Justice is the start of the third Last Chance Trilogy and a brilliant start it is. Honor is someone we have met before, she works for the Child Abduction Unit of the FBI and is dedicated but when she nearly dies, she decides to do what she has bee contemplating for a while join LCR.

Five years before Honor got involved with Seth Cavanaugh, a cop who left the force under suspicion and started a restaurant business, what Honor didn't know that even before he met her Seth had committ...more

Good book. The LCR stories have a fairly rigid formula; but they are still better than most of the RS being written today. This story spent just a little more time with the bad guy than I cared for; I'm more into the solving of the crime than getting in the villains head.

Seth and Honor have a past relationship; but Seth broke it off because his undercover work could endanger Hope's job with the FBI. Cut to 5 years later; and Seth has asked LCR for help finding his niece Kelli, who has disappeare...more

Five years previously, Seth and Honor had fallen in love at the worst possible time -- during the start of a deep cover sting that Seth knows will pretty much destroy his life, if it doesn’t end it completely. Fearing for Honor’s safety, he ruthlessly broke it off with her.

Now Seth is out of the undercover operation, but still not back to anything resembling normal life. But when his college-aged niece disappears, apparently one in a series of missing young women, Seth is forced to turn to Last...more

This was my first Christy Reece book, and it will NOT be my last. I enjoyed this one immensely, and will need to go back and catch up on this intriguing series.

Seth and Honor have a complicated past, but searching for Seth’s missing niece is their number one priority. However, they both seem to have difficulties leaving their past behind them. Honor is s...more

From the first pages I liked Honor Stone. She's a tough-as-nails FBI agent who wants to do what is right, and she has a heart of gold. But inside she's a woman too and she has a heart that can be broken and that's just what Seth Cavanaugh does at the beginning of this book, but Honor moves on as best she can. I like that Honor is strong and that she moves on as best she can. I like the normal woman side to her. I don't like women that can act like it's nothing. Now Honor can put on that front, b...more

Full review to come Tuesday, RELEASE DAY for this wonderful book!!!

My Review:
It's no secret to anyone that's talked books with me for any length of time that one of my favorite genre's is romantic suspense. Within that genre, there are several really amazing authors, but I don't think that there is anyone that consistently delivers emotion, suspense, and fantastic reading than Christy Reece. This book was no disappointment. It was amazing!

Honor is an FBI agent who has made an appearance in sever...more

Great reunited lovers story within Reece's Last Chance Rescue world. The hero, Sean's, niece has gone missing from her college in Iowa and he seeks LCR's help to find her. What he doesn't know is that Honor, the woman whose love he sacrificed years ago for an undercover op, now works for LCR and will be heading up the team looking for his niece. The blurb read as if Honor spends the whole book in deep undercover inside a cult leader's compound, which was, thankfully, not the case. Instead there'...more

This is my first read from author Christy Reece and all I can say is; Wow, it will not be my last!

Five years ago Seth Cavanaugh gave up the only woman he has ever loved to protect her from the dangers in his life. When his niece goes missing though, him and ex-F.B.I. agent Honor Stone are thrown together again when he turns to Last Chance Rescue for help locating her.

This was an ok read and had some good parts but overall I was not in love with the story or characters.
Hope and Seth were hot and heavy when Seth breaks it off and goes undercover without telling Hope why.
Five years later Seth is back wanting help finding his niece not knowing Hope worked for the agency.
That is the full background given. 5 yrs and they are right back at it like rabbits but you still have little explanation of what went on in the 5 years and no real life stories to make you...more

I read about this book on someone's book blog (Sorry I can't remember where, I should write this down!) and got interested. When it was offered on NetGalley for review, I grabbed it immediately.
I haven't read anything by Christy Reece before, so I din't know what I was in for. But I wasn't disappointment. I really like her way of writing and after reading this book I will definitely read more of her.

I can finally sit down and post a review on the 7th LCR installment, Sweet Justice.

I honestly don’t know what to say anymore regarding Christy Reece’s LCR series except for the fact that I have loved every single book. Not only do I love her books, I think she’s just fantastic and one of the few authors on Twitter who replies to my tweets whenever I have something to say. She takes the time to interact with her readers and for that I am very thankful. I will say though that this was one of my fa...more

What a wild and crazy ride that was! Since this is my first book from Christy Reece I can't say that she has done it again...but I will say that NOW I have to go back and start reading all of her other books from the very beginning.

Sweet Justice by Christy Reece is the first book in one of her romantic suspense series and features Last Chance Rescue, an organization mentioned in her other books.

Seth Cavanaugh pretended to be a bad guy to catch a drug dealer. That meant cutting ties with his family -- and FBI agent Honor Stone, who he was involved with at the time. Seth broke Honor's heart when he dumped her, and she had no intention of ever seeing him again. Now, several years later, Honor works for Last Chance Rescue, an...more

As a huge fan of Christy Reece’s Last Chance Rescue series, I was very excited to read an advanced copy of her new book, Sweet Justice.

Sweet Justice: A Last Chance Rescue Novel (ebook)

Growing up in a tiny community in Alabama boasting only one stop sign and a gas station gave Christy ample opportunity to create daring adventures in her head. When she wasn't thinking of her story characters, Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys kept her entertained and out of trouble. Later came the chills of Stephen King and the thrills of John Grisham, but the romance genre always held a strong place...more
