An uneasy truce between IRA assassin Declan Rath and ex SAS soldier 'Spider' Webb adds to the spiralling tension as a Tuzla-bound convoy battles through war-torn Bosnia to bring aid to the beleaguered city. Targeted for destruction by Croatian Military Intelligence and Serbian para-militaries, the convoy, unwitting carrier of smuggled arms, is prey to all sides.

Even readers like myself who don’t seek out action thrillers will love this book about a convoy making a dangerous run through war-torn Bosnia. There’s excitement enough for anyone, right from the beginning, but the focus on the intriguing characters adds great dimension to the story of a dangerous episode I, for one, had never given much thought to.

The author has an enviable talent for description that builds a vividly compelling picture without a hint of the excess that bogs down lesser writer

This kind of modern war-cum-thriller type of book is not the kind I would have automatically picked up, however, it was recommended to me, so i bought it. I am glad I did. It is a well written, well researched, intriguing story from start to finish. The plot twists and turns and holds your attention to the end. The characters are for the most part "baddies", but Robert Davidson does that remarkable thing, which all good authors can do, he makes us want to know what happens to them. This is well ...more

Tuzla Run was an exciting experience which drew me into the story. Robert has captured the drama that comes with any war. It was very easy to visualize each of the characters as they were introduced into the adventure. Although fiction, there was a reality of the events that could not escape the happenings, that were real during the time of the conflict. Robert has brought a fresh approach that captures the actual world of turmoil and adventure. I look forward to his new writings. Gary Dennett.

Well written with very good character development, this novel is also believable. The author has a military background and was actually in the Balkans running aid convoys during the Bosnian wars. Davidson was writing a sequel, but the last posting on his blog was 2013, so THE TUZLA RUN may prove to be his only novel. If so, that is unfortunate, but if he is going to publish jus

Davidson’s descriptive details of the various geographic areas, and the war damage in the Tuzla region, comes across as personal experience rather than research. Once I started the story I found it hard not to keep reading the next page and the next and so on, even at the risk of lost sleep.
The author has produced an exciting story in the mould of the traditional ‘journey’ style of story telling , coupled with credible heroic and cowardly characters. It seems to me that The Tuzla Run is tailor m
