To be really honest, the front cover of this book was the only thing stopping me from reading it. However, this is where the phrase: Don't judge a book by it's cover! Comes in! The book actually sounded really good - you know, with the love triangles and stuff:)

It started off quite easy to get into. Though it was confusing as i started to wonder where her Dad was but then they cleared it for me later. Unlike other books, this one slowly let us into the story rather than just practically pushing...more

Erster Satz:

"Faye McCarron strich sich eine dunkelbraune, windzerzauste Strähne unter die gestreifte Wollmütze und bückte sich, um ein neues Foto zu machen."

Cover:
So, das Cover find ich im Gegensatz zu einigen anderen echt schön, denn irgendwie fängt es diese Kälte, die sich durch das ganze Buch zieht, gut ein.

Meine Meinung:

Ja, was soll ich sagen. Ich hatte mir mehr versprochen.
Der Schreibstil wirkt unbeholfen und holprig und Alice Moss schafft es nicht, das aus der Geschichte rauszuholen, was...more

Faye a její nejlepší kamarádka Liz prožívají docela normální dívčí život.

Pohledy se nám...more

I bought this book a while ago as I thought it sounded intriguing but it was never at the top of my to-read list. It has been sat on my shelf for months so I finally decided to read it.
If I'm honest I had no motivation to read this at the beginning. Sure it sounds like a really good story but I couldn't help thinking of the other books I have that I can't wait to read. However I kept on reading and I am so glad that I did.

After the fi...more

Mortal Kiss is an amazing book. At first, I thought it would be one of those books with the typical 'girl-meets-mysterious-boy-and-falls-in-love-without-knowing-anything-about-him' kind of book, and it sort of was. Notice the 'sort of'.

I don't regret reading this book and I was waiting for the typical fantasy romance and I was wrong. Twists, turns, ups and downs had me hooked from the first page right until the last word. If you want something 'Mills & Boon' style - this isn't the romance fo...more

When smouldering Finn and sexy Lucas arrive in Winter Mill, life starts to get very complicated for Faye McCarron.

But two boys battling for her heart is just the start. Soon there’s a dead body in the woods, a motorcycle gang on the prowl, and the snow just won’t stop falling. Something evil is at work, and only Faye and best friend Liz can stop it. As Hallowe’en draws near they must uncover the dark and sinister secret... before it’s too late.

*Sighs* This book was pretty disappointing for me. The description sounded pretty interesting: dead bodies in the woods, a gang settling in a small town, werewolves, and a millionaire and her son moving in. In my mind, these things added up to an amazing storyline. Unfortunately, the story didn't really cut it.

The characters within the book don't really have any depth. Liz and Faye are best friends, and they're both quite childish despite the fact that they're high schoolers. They spend most of...more

Okay, I'm a huge fan of werewolf novels so if you have to ask who I would have chosen in those oh so famous novels well, any way I digress.

Faye finds herself caught in a wealth of action with her father absent on a dig and school starting too. She and her friend Liz who is caught up in the new kid Lucas whose famous mother moves to town. Faye isn't interested at all in him but he seems to like her just fine to Liz's discontent.

The there is Finn the biker whose in town the the biker gang the bla...more

My friend showed me this book at school so I borrowed it from the library .I must say this book is one of my top 5 books I've ever read.

This story is like a real love triangle for Faye as the conflict with her emotions for Lucas and Finn get in many situations for her. This story is a real twist the deeper you reed in the story the more knowledge that Faye will find out about her pass. As the story goes on Lucas and Finn find out many secrets that their parents have been hiding from them as the...more

I have had this on my shelf for ages as at one point I had heard so many good things about it tat I had to get it but then once I got it, it took me ages to get around to reading it.

When I first started reading this book I didn't really like it and I had all intentions of rating it only two stars. It was so slow and confusing as things was strange but nothing was really getting explained or even mentioned for most of the first half of the book. It did save it self just over halfway through as it...more

How did this book ever make it past an editor??? That was my first thought after I finished it. And I still can't believe that I *did* indeed finish it --- if it hadn't been for the fact that I got it through Amazon Vine I probably would have quit less than halfway-through. This book made me want to rant and rave. It is just so utterly, ridiculously, laughably bad!!! Anyway, here is my review:

Imagine the following scene:

Ms. Moss spends a cozy evening in front of the television watching a double...more

Mortal Kiss was a novel that was first on stardolls.com. It must have proven to be very popular as now its been published as a book. And its a smart thing that is now a book. It will sure to be a hit with those who love to read about love, mystery and sinister beings.

When I was contacted to review this novel I had never heard of it. However, I am really glad I agreed, because I really enjoyed it. At first when reading it I thought there was lots of similarities between this and other books out t...more

Especialmente cuando Fa...more

When I started reading this book, I didn't really know much about it. One, I hadn't read any reviews before hand and two, I really hadn't heard about it on Goodreads either - So, I think I was under estimating the book before starting it. However, I'm really glad I did. In the end this story really surprised me and I truly loved it.

This story is about two friends trying to solve a mystery that's happening to the town, a war that has been happening for centuries between mythical creatures, a gir...more

Favorite Character - Faye

This book is wrote in the multiple point of view form. I found the idea's in the book interesting & i did enjoy the story. BUT! It did have sometime missing from it, i cannot put my finger on what but it was something important.
I like the characters in general. At times i found them quite vain & petty but i think that is the way they have been written to represent their ages. I certainly wasn't like them when i was 16 but som...more

I enjoyed reading this book. Don't get me wrong, I did. It was just that Im a little over the whole "immortality" thing. I think its getting just a tad bit worn out. I don't blame the writer though, haha. These kinds of books are selling. I mean look at twilight?! haha I loved reading twilight aswell. It's just that the whole theme? not cutting it for me anymore. But you know, it's probably just me and my book finding skills. Or should I say lack of book finding...more

This is a book that I thoroughly enjoyed. I think the plot says it all; it’s a very intriguing story with great twists that keep you interested all the way.

Some people aren’t fans of werewolves or any other paranormal stuff but you shouldn’t be put off. You may think this is going to be the same old storyline you find in every other paranormal book, although there are some similarities, there are many carefully woven twists; it isn’t. Mortal Kiss is suspenseful and mysterious in all the right p...more

Firstly being released online on Stardoll, Mortal Kiss was a sensation to most people that read it.
Each day a chapter would be released on the period of time coming up to Halloween, which was terrible suspense, because on the end of chapters, cliffhangers would just lead to more and more questions, which are answered by shocking twists with each day.
This story is in the point of view of all characters, so this gives you a better insight on the thoughts and actions of others.
I personally enjoye...more

Největší problém pro ni představuje, jaké oblečení si vybrat...more

Reviewed @ Girls Without a Bookshelf.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Not because I had some negative preconceptions about it, but because I have not heard a lot about it. Surely a book this interesting should be widely recommended in and around the book blogosphere? I would surely do to anyone.

At first I was put off by what appeared to me as a cliche relationship between inseparable best friends, only to be wedged apart by a gorgeous, mysterious boy who so happens to be the town's newes...more

I enjoyed Mortal Kiss. The book began by spending a lot of time developing the characters and slowly incorporated pieces of the major storyline. It wasn't until the ending scene that we really have a true understanding of what is actually happening. I felt that it was a little far-fetched at times and found myself sarcastically saying "oh, how convenient!" As a whole, Alice Moss did a great job leaving the reader guessing but simultaneously, I believe that the story had some rough edges and if t...more

I'm not going to lie, I really couldn't connect with this book and I found it boring. I didn't get past page 160, and the past 100 pages were mostly done with skim reading. I'm used to more mature books then this, as I feel it was aimed for the younger, tween type ages, though i might be wrong, but after reading other books in this genre, I feel they were to a higher standerd then this, and so i had to give it a low score even though i'm not fond of doing so, I would, however, recommend this boo...more

This book was in my folder so long that i haven't noticed it until i started my werewolf spree..that i remembered this..
It was a good book filled with werewolf and..little bit of fantasy!Though i felt a bit confusing with many POV's(which i am never gonna adjust too ..*sigh*)..the whole concept of underworld ,werwolves ,hunt was different and i am surprisingly looking forward to read sequel..to know more about Faye and Finn now that they got a chance to be together after all the hurdles!

I picked up this book because the cover was captivating and once I read the back I had to have it. Once I hear about a love triangle I have to read the book (It's just the way I am). The red and black against the white looked awesome (as my Red, White and Black room will when it's painted!). Although couple on the front weren't the most attractive :/

The book opens with the main character Faye (whose name I love) taking a picture of the early snow when her best friend Liz points out new guy Lucas...more

Typical, boring and a waste of time. It could even be turned into a Korean drama with the plot it has, but the plot's horrible.
Why was it typical?
1. There's a love triangle. Girl (Faye) ends up with the ancient guy. SERIOUSLY? It's too obvious! For some books, the age difference was great (Nightworld, Fallen and the parents in Hallowed) but this book sits with the crap and creepy (twilight- it was okay, And Eden). The young guys deserve a chance too!
2. The younger (and better) guy suddenly give...more
