I think it's great that Zonderkids has taken the classic Berenstain Bears books and published a series of them with a spiritual emphasis. These new editions are called Living Lights.

In this one - The Gift of Courage - Brother and Sister Bear learn about courage from the account of David and Goliath as they face their own bully at school. The Berenstain Bears and the Gift of Courage by Jan and Mike Berenstain is another entry in the Living Lights series putting a little faith in the classic series. Since 1962, Jan and Stan Berenstain have been sharing delightful stories with our children. Their son, Mike Berenstain has followed in their footsteps continuing the tradition of sharing the Berenstain Bear family with children in the new Living Lights Series published by Zonderkidz. Each book teaches how children should live for God on a daily basis. You can learn more lessons from the Bible with stories like The Berenstain Bears and the Golden Rule, The Berenstain Bears Give Thanks, The Berens ...more
Berenstain Bears are a special memory to me from my own childhood. The Berenstain Bears and the Gift of Courage is a fun little story about bringing the lessons from David and Goliath to everyday life in dealing with bullies and difficult situations. I always love these, such a treasure for our shelves. I hope we can have a great collection of Berenstain Bears books for my daughter to read over and over again.
