Venice, early 1800s

Isabella Tenderini, a wealthy merchant's widow rescues a stranger from drowning in one of Venice's canals. And how does the man repay her selfless act? By kissing her - her, a respectable woman.

Not only is Raphael di Santori grateful for his life being saved, he would also like to thank his rescuer very intimately - more intimately than decorum allows.

This quick read wasn’t bad. It had a mysterious plot and some racy scenes. Sometimes it was hard for me to get past the dirty talk as this was set in the 1800’s. It sometimes came off sounding more like a cheesey porn movie than something you would find in an historical read.

Venice Vampyr is a sensational and steamy must read!
As a novella, Tina has put together a short but well-developed story line & brought new concepts to the vampire world with a stunning Venice setting. Great characters with awesome chemistry, Isabella and Raphael are a phenomenal couple. Isabella’s sexual awakening and Raphael’s yearning for love, that he didn’t even realize himself until meeting Isabella, are both deeply compelling and sensually arousing. And the romance in the story was un

Books on my "Yum! Cotton Candy Reads" Shelf are just that. Hot, light, and fluffy like freshly-spun cotton candy at a fun park. Sure, it's not perfect or even good for me, but it's damn enjoyable!

*This novella has a good bit of dirty talk and some steamy debauchery. However, if you're looking to be immersed in a rich and detailed historical setting, honey, this ain't the book for you.
A dirty talking vamp and a proper lady, how could you go wrong with this little novella? As a book I would give it three stars but I slipped in a fourth star because it is only a little book and she wrapped up everything so nicely.
A little bit of action and a lot of 'debauchery' quickly take you through this story. A steamy quick read that quite possibly will leave you panting for more.
Venice Vampyr is the first novella in the series regarding vampires living in Venice during the 1800's. These novellas are shorter then Tina's Scanguard Vampires series and much more sexually explicit (if that is even possible but Tina has managed to do so).

One thing I would like to first point out is that this paranormal erotica book is 5 ALARM HOT and I LOVED IT! This book is sizzling HOT and just what I want to read in a paranormal romance/erotica book! Yes the erotica is amazing but the roma
Isabella's got a little bit of freak in her thanks to a vamp named Raphael!

This story is a short, sweet, and sexy read. It's a novella so it's pretty compact but the scenes are well balanced. Isabella and Raphael's characters are fleshed out well for such a short story. Oh yeah, there is a plot along with scorching erotica. In Tina Folsom's world, vampyrs can't swim, they sink to the bottom and drown because they are too heavy to float. So of course, there are a group of vampire slayers who pus
Did you know that vampires do not float if thrown into water? They sink and that’s how Isabella, a young widow, meets Raphael, a vampire, as he is “drowning” in one of Venice’s many canals. Their attraction is immediate and their self-control is completely gone. Who would think a mere human could keep up with the sexual appetites of a powerful vampire?

Venice Vampyr by Tina Folsom is a blend of a paranormal romance, an erotic journey that will cause your eyeballs to smoke and even has a little p

I got this one as a freebie many many months ago. Since it was the subject to a group read on GR, I jumped along and thought it would be a good way to get to finally read one of the numerous books left miserably alone and unattended on my kindle.
Well, I can't say this was the best book I ever read, but I can't say this was the worst either. It was a mix of historical romance, vampire romance and smut. Raphael was a dirty talking vampire with a strong liking for sex, no touching his woman, but sh

If you take away the cheesy ass metaphors this book is riddled with it wouldn't be a bad book. I liked the plot. There was a nice chemistry between the characters. And the pictures were nice. But I just couldn't get past the "pearl, honey, caves, all the quivering parts and dark channels." However it did give me a few laugh out loud moment because of these ridiculous statements and that's why I gave it a solid two stars for effort!

So apparently, I picked this one up for free at some point on Amazon and came across it while I was scrolling through my Kindle looking for a book to read for our vampire themed week.

It’s early 1800s in Venice, Italy. Widow Isabella Tenderini has already lost her husband to drowning when she comes across an unconscious stranger who is about to meet the same fate. After rescuing him, she brings him back to her home…into her personal chambers. Before she knows it, Raphael is awake and is kissing
Great sweet and very sexy book. I need the rest of this series.

quite intense...good read...enjoyed it...
Awesome novella! Though shorter than a book, by nature, it does not lack in amazing writing. The characters have amazing chemistry, and the steamy love scenes were done very tastefully. I know some may not be able to handle explicitly written love scenes, but to me, they were always very tasteful and never too over the top. For those who are used to books in which the love scenes consist of somewhat vague description of sex, "Then he made passionate love to her.", I suggest you prepare yourself ...more

This novella was smoking and sizzling. I thought my kindle was going to melt. The storyline flowed perfectly for a novella. It wasn't rushed at all. The details were just right.

The time period made this novella even better for me. I enjoyed how Tina brings historical and paranormal together in this novella. It made for an interesting and very fun story, one that kept me turning the pages till the very end and wanting more.

This novella was very erotic. I didn't feel like the story was rushed. I

Let me start out by saying that I love Tina Folsom's books. I've been thinking about reading this series for months now & couldn't bring myself to do it since I didn't think I would like historical romances; however, I've been itching to read something different & boy am I glad I did. Great read & the sex.... Well let's just say it was hotter than hot. If you don't like extremely descriptive sex in your books, then you will not like this book - just a warning. :-)

I really liked this novella; Raphael and Isabella made the perfect couple. The only negative thing I found was it felt a bit rushed, which is often an issue with a novella. (Ok, that and some of the descriptions of body parts were occasionally a bit over the top.) But this book was really well written and I might have considered giving 5 stars if the book had been longer. I'll definitely read the next book in the series.
Oh yeah! This novella was a fun read. A well constructed world and character set with a steamily erotic story, and it flowed well. I guarantee I'll be seeking out more Tina Folsom's books. I'd highly recommend it to those who like erotic vampire books.
The cover didn't feel right after reading it. It should have been Isabella holding Raphael.
When Isabella Tenderini, a grieving widow, rescues a man from drowning, little does she know that said man is a vampire and that he finds her entirely sexy and alluring. For the first time she will know what it feels like when a real man (oh, the irony) pleasures a woman in bed ... and in public.

This vampire novella is more sexually explicit than her Scanguard series and includes voyeurism and coarse language that I didn't feel was appropriate for a 19th century Venetian woman. It felt too conte
A very steamy vampire story! Make sure to turn up your A/C while reading this one! Story was great, wish it was a bit longer but it is a novella!
For a freebie on amazon, I'm quite shocked at how much I enjoyed this short read. The main characters were so cute and I totally rooted for these two to get together. Raphael had me crackin' up laughing when he first woke up in Isabella's room. The guys seriously thought he'd died and gone to heaven to screw an angel....oh my! I must admit there was this one part in the book that kind of had me cringing in my seat but hey, to each his own. Overall I would give this 4 stars out of 5. Tina Folsom ...more

It was a quick read but I enjoyed it. Hot scenes with Rafael and Isabella. Definitely HOT!
Having read and enjoyed some of the author's other works, I was looking forward to this one, but sadly, I think it is going to wind up being deleted from my Kindle. While it was a very short and erotic read, the dirty talk and actions didn't seem to fit in the time setting that the story was set in. The mystery element wasn't explained to a decent degree and seemed to be more of a footnote to the book to anything else. While I enjoyed what I have read of the author up until now, I won't be conti ...more

This was a good story. I liked Isabella and Raphael and their story was short but enjoyable.

Isabella is a merchant's widow. She's wealthy because her husband left her his business and money. His cousin ins't happy about that fact and makes her life hell trying to find some way to disgrace her and take her holdings. Her husband died a year before due to drowning and she hasn't found anyone to gain her interest since then.

Raphael is a vampire that lives in Venice. He has a brother and f

Tina Folsom is truly a master when it comes to erotic fiction, with a paranormal twist, of course. Anyone who has read her Scanguard Vampire series knows that she writes a great sexy vampire story.

Venice Vampyr is all that, and a historical story as well. It is also smoking hot. It is so hot, that a cold shower is recommended after the last page is turned. Isabella rescued Raphael from drowning, because that was the fate her first husband suffered. She takes him into her home to nurse him back t

Can I just say how much I love Tina's books, I had read her warning so I was pretty sure what I was getting into when I started to read this book. This book didn't disappoint but my eyes did grow wide with a few scenes.

There are several things I loved about this book, one that it takes place in one of my favorite cities. I lived in Italy when I was a small child and to be taken back to a country and city that I fell in love with way back when was so nice.

Secondly, Tina's writing amazes me
