I used to read this series when I was really young, and back then I really liked them. Even though these are still quite enjoyable, they just feel too young for me now. I'm still going to read the rest of the books at some point, just so I can say I eventually finished this series.
These 3 stars are enough to give to this book. It's very easygoing and when you finish reading, you don't think about it anymore. It's also a very quick read: I can't help feeling that angels are much more interesting characters and the author gives them a very small area (althrough they are the main characters)...
The only thing I really love about the series is how Annie Dalton adds interesting historical events to the plot. But I'm a fan of extensive books, this is embarrassingly simple.
I really enjoy this series! Especially this one, which had them travel back to the time of the Children's Crusade. However the futuristic plot with Dom and Brice is what stops me from giving this four stars.

When I started reading this series, I found them fun but not life-changing... and yet now, several years later, they're still stuck in my head. Stealth favourites ;p

Thia book was less interesting than the others, but I love how we finally sort of heard Brice's story.

Dalton grew up as an only child in the English countryside during the 1950s. Her father was not always around, but when he was, he would tell her fantastical stories, often with her as the principal character. Her father left the family for good. Dalton missed him and his stories, which led her to the fantasy section at her local library, thus sparking life-long love of fiction.
