I started reading this book one year ago. I stopped reading it many times due to different reasons, but always I find myself searching for it again and continue reading.

Very interesting topic, unreadable because of severe editing failures. Redundant, contradictory, rote and cliched writing.
Unfortunate, as this could have been a good book. As a series of magazine features (the author's a journalist), it would have made a good read. With even the pretense of editorial review, it would have worked. After the fifth or sixth self-contradiction and repeated stock paragraph, I had to toss this onto the resale pile.

A wealth of detail on Internet development in four places around the world - Korea, Estonia, Senegal, Iran. The Iranian chapter is especially rich and could be the nub of a book in its own right.
My one wish is that the policy suggestions for Internet development in the developing world that Cyrus draws out in the conclusion had been more fully developed.
Now I need to go back through and collect my notes and references.
