Oh, this book made me angry. Not at the book, however - it was pretty damn brilliant - but at men.

Emma and Julia are two 12 year old girls growing up in the 1980s - more or less happily, you'd think, until Julia is raped after a party and it becomes apparent that her father has been sexually abusing her for a while now.

When I was a teenager I read a few books about that topic. It's been a while, obviously, but I still felt that the focus of the book was different. I hope I can put this in a wa

Svart, svart, svart.

A great and important novel on violence against girls and women. Unputdownable. There is a subtle suspense on every single page.

Usch, ingen feelgood direkt.

Maria Sveland (born 1974) is an author and journalist from Sweden, best known for the 2007 book Bitterfittan (a title which is a Swedish compound noun, and could be translated either as The Bittercunt or The Bitter Cunt, or, less literally, The Bitterbitch or The Bitter Bitch).

Bitterfittan is, according to Sveland, not an autobiography but rather a work inspired by her own experiences. The book cr
