An engrossing story told by a renowned expert with fascinating excerpts from primary sources. Highly recommended.

The great strength of this book and the reason why despite it's age it is still worth reading is how much it draws on the material from the two trials of Joan of Arc with sizeable chunks of statements reproduced in the text.
