Leave vengeance to the Lord. MUCH easier said than done, and I also felt the book lacked some concrete examples. When are we taking vengeance out of God's hands and when are we just refusing to be door-mats? Where does the line go? In some cases it's obvious, but in others not so much.

I bought this book during my first year of marriage. The thing that stuck out for me with this book was the portion of the title that said "feel mistreated". I realize that sometimes we think someone is mistreating us when they may not be. Whether you are being mistreated or not, there is a Godly way to deal with it. I must testify that dealing with mistreatment is far more liberating when you deal God's way instead of defending yourself. If you try to defend yourself, you tie God's hand to not ...more
I am thankful for this book! John Bevere walks the reader through three reasons we as Christians should praise God and respond to mistreatment correctly. He gives great examples, and even talks about his personal experiences with mistreatment in ministry. A must read for all Christians!
