Recommends it for: children who are learning how to draw
Our oldest brought this book home from school and really enjoyed learning how to draw dogs using simple methods and correct proportions. It's a helpful guide for those interested in learning how to draw more realistic creatures.

Feb 2012 update: Our girls love to draw and they are always bringing these kinds of books home from their elementary school library. At the tender ages of 7 and 9, they are far better artists than I ever could be.
