This book truly convinced me that Pretty Little Liars is far superior to The Lying Game. Sorry, Sara. I was originally rooting for The Lying Game, being as it was the underdog, but Pretty Little Liars just towers over its opponent.

Shepard does the quadro-narration thing very well. It seems like a difficult thing to do, but she pulls it off, and she does it well. I don't ever confuse the girls with one another, which often happens in books with multiple narrators. (I heard that Dearly, Departed i More...

Yet another nail biting book in the Pretty Little Liars series! I have so much fucking love for these books and the unforgettable characters Sara has created. Its very unfair what these four girls go through.

I know a ton of people are complaining about how this series is dragging. Honestly, I don't see it yet. Yes, she could have shortened the series a bit but to me they are still addicting as the first few books. Sara has came up with a fantastic mystery series, kudos to her and I really don't More...

It's a sad day when you start to slowly realize that one of your favorite (guilty pleasure) series is slowly starting to wane in quality. It was originally supposed to be four books, but anyone who reached the end of Unbelievable knew that there was enough life left in the series that adding four more books just seemed natural. Wicked through Wanted were the same quality as the first four books, and I never got the sense that it was tacked on just for the sake of writing more entries in the seri More...

This was really disappointing. This is one of the worst I've seen from Sara, I'm sorry, but when are these girls ever going to effin' learn? Seriously, It's the same thing every damn time. First, the secrets are just becoming ridiculous. Really? Noel's dad being a crossdresser and Emily having a baby was one of the most insane and unrealistic i've read so far. I mean, I know crossdressing isn't a bad thing, and people can wear whatever they want, but it's a great example about how much Sara is p More...

I refuse to spend my money on these shit books anymore.
That's it, I'm through. I'm doooone.

The Prologue:

Emily and the rest of the bitches girls are in front of some house, ready to leave the baby on the doorstep. Who the hell leaves a newborn on a doorstep! Emily was supposed to sell her child to a woman named Gayle, but decided otherwise after finding out that Gayle would be an unfit mother. She secretly left the hospital. Then her and Aria go and leave the poor child on the doorstep and flee t More...

Why are we still beating this dead horse?

I started reading the PLL series in '08 and I loved it. Every time I got a new PLL book, I'd stay up all night reading it in one sitting. I thought the ending in Wanted was perfect: open, a little creepy, still leaving you with the feeling that Someone Is Watching You. Scene.

Then I found out there was a third wave of books coming out. I've read them all, of course, and they aren't bad--but they aren't of the same caliber as the first eight books. At some More...

Once again, let me begin by saying that I love this series so much! I never read a series with such an amazing mystery. The mystery is the entire reason i read this series. I feel like half of the plot in these books doesn't advance the plot in any way. A wasn't pressuring the liars to do things as much as in the tv show, so I wondered More...

I loved it as usual. I love the story Sara Shepard has spun between these girls and their personal stalker. You get to know each individual character as the series progresses. Another thing is that Shepard does a fantastic job of throwing in twists and turns you never see coming. But no matter how many issues and plots are going on in one book, they all get solved at one point or another. And the best part about it is that it really takes like 3 or 4 books to solve the problem. Then another one More...

Aren't these covers just the cutest? I mean, come on, it's so easy to fall for that pretty cursive script and pastel palette! Maybe I'm just a soppy loser who loves matching covers the same way clucky mothers love newborn babies. Either way, I ADORE the artwork, as I always do. However, I'm not so sold on the title. Stunning, really? Sure there was Flawless and Perfect, but from then on things took a diabolical turn with the additions of Wicked, Killer, and Heartless. Not to men More...

I had to say that this was one of the best books in the series. Even though they may differ from the show on ABC Family, I really like how the books describe more often then some things that didn't happen in the show. But I still would like to get my hands on the next book and figure out who A might be. So... yeah x)

Um es mit Macklemore und Ryan Lewis Worten zu sagen: "This is fucking awesome". Have you read these books yet?

These girls are so stupid. This book is the point where I really can't justify any of their actions any more. I know that this is supposed to be the book where they realize that A lets them dig their own graves a lot of the time, but I feel like they should have came to this realization a long time ago.

Hanna's A problem is entirely her own stupidity. I was dying of second-hand embarrassment the entire time. I really hope by the end of the series Hanna gets enough self-esteem to not completely de More...

Spencer, Aria, Emily, and Hanna have a new suspect for A. This new suspect would be Gayle, a wealthy woman who is helping Hanna’s dad’s campaign, and paid Emily for her baby. The girls also find out that Gayle is Tabitha’s stepmother, and Tabitha was a girl that they had met on a trip to Jamaica, and thought was A. Spencer has recently been accepted to Princeton and is trying to get in to an eating club, which her mom, and sister Melissa believe would help her future a lot. Aria is dating Noel, More...

A few years ago, the PLL series was always one of my favorite books to read and my friends and I anticipated the next book like how a dog anticipates for another treat. Over the few years, I drifted apart from this series and I'm glad I did.

Without a doubt, Sara Shepard is a fantastic writer and very successful. However, this series is becoming extremely chaotic with all the superfluous characters and scandals. No longer is it a well written mystery/thriller that readers can follow along and tr More...

In the book series Pretty Little Liars, Aria, Emily, Spencer, and Hanna are all shocked to find their best friend, Ally, murdered in her own back yard after she had been missing for one month. The series continues to try to figure out who murdered Ally, and who is now sending them text messages about events in their lives and past lives signed A.

I am a HUGE fan of the Pretty Little Liars series, so when this book came out, I just could not wait to read it! I had high expectations for an amazing novel, and I was not let down one bit. This novel was so good that if I could've, I would have read it in one day. The story picks up from where it left off in the last book, focusing on the 4 main characters, Aria, Spencer, Hannah, and Emily. The 11th book of the ABC Family television series, Pretty Little Liars, Stunning has got me hooked. I feel this book was written spectacularly, the way Sara Shepard captivated the characters in the quadruple-point of view used in every book. I would read this book over and over again. I liked this book because the plot of the story was so interesting and full of mysteries that it was easy to stay captivated in the story. I liked the way Sara Shep More...

I’d like to start off by saying I haven’t been too impressed with the PLL series – its just one of those series where you need to find out what happens in the end. Basically, I love to hate the Pretty Little Liars books. When the ABC show came on the air, it inspired me to start reading the series. I worked my way through the first 10 pretty quickly, and I just felt I needed some closure to the storyline so I decided to pick up # More...

I have to admit: I was a little annoyed when Sara Shepard decided to write more of this series after the great, supposed to be, ending in Wanted. However, I kept reading, and I'm glad she continued because, as crazy as they all are, I can't get enough of these characters. I watch the TV show, too, and, while I enjoy that, the books are MUCH better, of course. (I just have to think of them as two separate things.) Anyway, Stunning, the most recent addition, was a lovely one. Like all of the other More...

I just finished reading and reviewing Pretty Little Secrets, and as soon as I put that down, I had to read this, the 11th in the series. I had a PLL craving! Here is an excerpt of the Kobo store’s summary:

I’ve spent quite a while trying to figure out my attraction to these books; they’re certainly not my usual YA fare. One of the possible reasons is that Sara Shepard has mastered the art of surprise. I know that there’s an A, I know the girls are going to do something dumb to keep her quiet and yet I’m frequently surprised by what A has in store for them next and the lengths to which the girls will go.

Stunning is no exception. There are even more twists and turns, and life in Rosedale is even mor More...

These books always fly by and are fabulously suspenseful - now that Private and Privilege by Kate Brian are over (nnoooooo, whyyyyyy), Sara Shepard is the only one who is currently providing this soapy teen noir type of series. I wish there were more out there!

This one had some pros and cons. Emily's story was so harrowing that the others' plot-lines just seemed a bit trivial in comparison. Aria in particular seems to be getting stuck with the worst subplots these days - More...
