It is so hard for me to review books like this. Humor is so, so subjective. I know that I would have loved this book if it had been my kind of humor. But, alas, it wasn’t. What should have made me giggle instead left me rolling my eyes or gritting my teeth. What makes it so hard for me to write this review is that some of the things that irritated me might have pleased me in a book that I found funnier. So, as you read this review keep in mind that this humor is either going to work for you, or...more

This series is getting better and better and the bad part is, it’s starting to contradict with my old reviews since I always proclaim one the best

SO there has been a tie!!!!!!!! YAY! Between 6 and 7

I am not saying the others are not as good but these books hit me, yah know? We all have different taste and I wouldn’t expect our opinions to be the same. I LOVED every book in this series but I have my favourites too. But then, there are some kick-ass books on the series too and they could have be...more

It has been said that the moon goddess wanted children, so she mated in wolf form and gave birth to twins. The older had the ability to shift from human form to the form of a wolf and the younger only had the ability to shift into wolf form during a full moon. Centuries later the Lycans are born; they have to live on blood and became the first vampires. Their existence is kept secret, as is the existence of their descendants.

Kelsey Morningstar is in charge of Dante Clinic as a psychotherapist....more

When he breaks from his apartment to seek her out and then bites her to claim her she’s not sure what to think. After she awakens from a bout of what she thinks is the flu she’s ready to break free of the clinic and break Damien the I-think-I’m-a-werewolf guy out as well.

Damien ends up saving Kelsey instead of the other way around. He ends up taking her to Broken Heart to protect her from her boss at the clinic who also wanted to claim her. The problem is is that when Damien bit Kelsey he starte...more

Must Love Lycans is the 8th book in the Broken Heart Series. Broken Heart is the paranormal community and a haven for witches, shifters, vampires, and a demon. The Lycan Triplets, Damien, Darrius, and Drake are gorgeous Alpha male Shifters who are royal lycans that can shift at will. They are the head of Broken Heart's security force. This book happens 3 years after the last book in the series as most of the town has settle into normality and the attacks have been far between.

Damien finds himsel...more

This is the newest book in the series but I didn't realize that when I started to read it. I found that I wasn't confused or left feeling behind in the story. I've never read anything by Michele Bardsley but I will definitely be reading more of her books. I loved the humor in the book and thought that Kelsey Morningstone was very funny. Damien was brooding and dark but with very good reasons. Damien tries to keep distance between Kelsey and himself but she won't allow any. Kelsey has a equally d...more

I was so excited to get my hands on the newest Broken Heart novel from Michele Bardsley!!

I've read a few serious urban fantasy novels, and a few dark paranormals as well. So this book was a breath of fresh air! Every now and then, it's nice to read a book that can bring a smile to your face, and make you chuckle, as it draws you in to the story!

A little back history of the Broken Heart novels:

Broken Heart is a town where a number of it's citizens were bitten by a rogue vampire in one night. The...more

The Broken Heart series by Michele Bardsley has had such great longevity. This is not a series you can pick up with this book, you do need to go back and start from the beginning. You will not be sorry that you did because this series is full of humor, enchanting characters, great story lines, and some hot sex thrown in to spice it up (in a very good way). The newest in the series, Must Love Lycans, delivers on all of these points. Damien and Kelsey have a spark from the beginning, even though s...more

Kelsey Morningstone is a psychotherapist who has been hired to run the Dante Clinic owned and operated by Jarred Dante. Kelsey knows how lucky she is to have this second chance to continue to work as a therapist. Just a short time ago, she was on the verge of being destitute. A patient of hers that she’d been working with turned out to be a serial killer. She’d been sued multiple times, lost every battle and lost her house, car, even her clothes. She didn’t t...more

Hmmm... At some point, one must accept that a series has run its course. The author has managed to hold that off for maybe another book or two but really - using new prophesies to change Patsy's role (and thus add another book or two) isn't really fooling anyone.

So Damien gets his book, and we find out exactly what constitutes a "royal". We also get introduced to a changeling, and a demigod who is able to shift into various other things. To be honest though, I didn't care. Our H/h spent a good p...more

Latest in the Broken Heart, Okla series. In this one we start out with having finally located Damian, the missing Royal Lycan. He is in an insane asslym with amnesia. His therapist is an empath who, surprise, surprise, turns out to be his mate.

Not quite as fun a read as many of the others, but still an interesting take on what's going on in the Broken Heart world.

Personally I'd check this out of the library, since I think that the series is starting to get a tad stale, but its still well worth...more

I do love these books now. They're frivolous and easy reads, but they do have decent plots. Damian has been one of the more interesting characters, so I was happy to see him find his mate. Above all, I couldn't possibly be any happier about Patsy being taken down a notch than I already am. I'm sick to death of her anyway. That fact alone is what moved this from 4 stars to 5. ;)

I'm still confused about Jarred and how he plays into everything (seeing how he's a demigod and a therianthrope, or some...more

I loved reading this story!! This book is written in first person POV from the heroine and her point of view is so freaking funny. I am writing this review for Julie over at Yummy Men and Kick-Ass Chicks and one of the things she likes to do is highlight the "giggle-worthy quotes"... seriously, I have over 10 places marked in my book, and there were so many more that I could have highlighted. I was constantly giggling as I read this book. (This was my first Michele Bardsley read. There will be o...more

Must Love Lycans is the eighth installment to the Broken Heart, OK series by Michelle Bardsley and a Signet Eclipse Paranormal Romance.

Book Blurb:

It only takes one bite...

Since the moment he showed up - gloriously naked - I’ve been having a hard time keeping my relationship with the clinic’s newest amnesiac patient strictly professional. Damian might not remember his past, but sweet mamma jamma, he sure knows how to push all my buttons.

Even with my empathic abilities, I’m not sure I can get past...more

Damian and Kelsey...... I adore this heroine. She's had a hard life, with a mother who anyone would think was a nightmare. She's dealt with that throughout her life using humor. Kelsey is a psychotherapist and the year before this book takes place, her entire life fell apart. See, she's also an empath...she can read other's feelings and help even them out. On the surface, that seems like a really good thing for a psychotherapist, but people have feelings for a reason and when Kelsey helps to "ev...more

Not the best in the Broken Heart series, but an interesting read.
Stoic Damian, head of security gets kidnapped by ETAC and rescued by the mysterious Jared Dante. Dante runs a clinic, and his head of psychiatrics is Kelsey. The Vederes prophecies shows that Damian will become the king of the Lycans and Kelsey will be his mate. Love unfolds as it usually does in Broken Heart, with only a matter of days to make your lifetime life partner commitment.
Its the first book to feature a love story that d...more

I did not think I would like this but I really did. It was light but not stupid and too cute. The characters were very likeable and well done. The plot was good but I think I missed a few of the finer points because I jumped in, in the middle of the series but not enough that I felt like I was lost.

I think I may have to go back and read the earlier ones.

Between 3 and 4 stars. Funny, fast-paced, passionate writing with a snarky first person POV heroine. There were times when the narrator's mercurial mood shifts grated on my nerves. I guess that's one of the more general things I dislike about first person POV - the reader is really entrenched in the narrator's head, whether we like it or not. The Broken Heart world is a fun one with lively characters, but I can tell (even if I hadn't read the author's note that essentially confesses to it) that...more

Love the author, love the series. It felt like we waited such a long time for this book to come out and for it to end up feeling rushed at the end, irks me. Again, it was a great book, I love Damian and his brothers and to see him finally find his HEA was awesome.

I've been waiting on Damien story for so long and now it's here, I loved it as I love every other book in the Broken Heart Series, Kelsey should have gotten to know Damien's son Aldufo(had that tiny scene) instead of just the rest of his family.

not crazy about this one. it was kind of boring and confusing at times. parts of the book were funny and the sex scenes were great, but even they got tedious. usually with her books i read them in two days, but this one took me about a week. n

Read one in the series early on and now I KNOW I have to go back and catch up. a fun read, including the author's note/warning that her books begin with naked men. gee, I just don't think I can read a book that begins with a naked man--hah!

This book takes place 8 years after the last book. I spent half the time confused because I wasn't sure why Damian was locked up and scarred for most of the book. He was head of security last time a book took place. This sort of threw the whole experience off for me. I don't like to be confused as I am trying to read, too many thoughts running through my head means I have to re-read passages or even whole pages. The book was worth the end though if you like the Broken Heart Series. I think these...more

While I liked this book I did have one beef with the book. It was the way that Kelsey so quickly accepted all the paranormal aspects. When Damien first showed up and she thought he was playing at being a werewolf she was so cynical, yet when things were out in the open she just went with it.

I did like how when Damien didn't know anything he knew that Kelsey was a safe place. I also loved how when Damien was lost to his wolf Kelsey called him down by saying he was rude, like that was the worst th...more

This was a cute easy read. There was just the right amount of hot sex and romance and some fighting. I have not read any of the other books in the series but did not feel lost in any way.

I read most this series as one long novel. It started slow but as Bardsley developed her rhythm, the characters began to evolve and have made this an entertaining series.

Read this book first - out of order of the series, you know, one of those cheap buys to reel you in. well it worked! have read the how series so far.......

Nationally bestselling author Michele Bardsley spends her days creating fictional worlds because, let's face it, reality sucks. A prime example is that no one has yet to figure out how to make calorie-free chocolate. What's up with that? She received an associates degree in liberal arts, which was no help whatsoever for becoming a novelist or a decent housekeeper. She lives in Oklahoma with her so...more
