An interesting read. I liked watching Marianne get her legs under her, so to speak, and make a way for herself. She enters the dark and mysterious world of being a stripper and of course, takes interest in the tall and scary gorgeous owner, Brett. Brett Gentle. He seems to be quite the opposite of his last name, although there are times that you see this very sweet, protective side of him. Marianna's character deepens in the last 1/4 of the book. There's so much to like about this story. Smokin' hot read, tall, dark and looming dead center in the book? You bet. Couple that with a heart of gold, not-so-easy resolution and well, you get the idea. Tainted Love takes place not in your usual humdrum American city but South Africa, in a city called Cape Town. This book is great story of an "every" woman who ventures out to try something new and break out of her boring day to day life. Along the way she finds a man who understands her and the love that's been missing.
