Genre: Informational
Summary: This fun book shows various parts an animal without showing the animal. Children are able to guess who each part belongs to and learn how important certain body parts are to animals.
Critique: a) The best part of this book are the way the illustrations are placed within the book. The illustrations themselves are detailed and informing.
When the book introduces a new body part of the animal to focus on, they begin with a question about why and how they ...more

I did not find this book to be particularly spectacular or to stand out. However, I do believe this would be a good book for children who are particularly into animals and wildlife. Each page has a great picture of a specific animal in its natural habitat and an interesting fact about that animal. This book is very simplistic but children will learn a lot about a number of animals none the less. Due to its simplistic nature I would suggest this book to younger elementary students. This is a wonderful concept book for children! Really fun illustrations, and lots of fun facts! I even learned a few things (like that crickets have their ears on their knees!) The book goes through different animals and different things they can do with their tails, ears, noses, etc. Very simplistic and fun. At the end, there's a small glossary that gives more details on each animal. I will definitely read this to my future-kids.
