I LOVE this book!!! I can not say enough about the power of deliberate intention and creation and the way that Chopra approaches and "teaches" the reader to hone the inherent abilities we already have to do this. The book focuses on our thoughts and how they create our reality. It encourages meditation as a way to quiet the mind from the day to day rush rush rush and the tendency of human nature to let negative thoughts creep in and take hold. Thoughts attract matching thoughts, so

This thin volume is a distilled version of the original and compares accordingly. In an effort to convey the core of the concepts in the original work, the "essential" version seems superficial. It's not exactly that the concepts are not dealt with in sufficient depth given the limitations of the format and more that the density of the verbiage increases the "jargon ratio" - so much of the prose is Chopra-created that it seems to diminish the significance of the insights.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire: Harnessing the Infinite Power of Coincidence, so much so that I wish Deepak and I were close personal friends, where I could pick his brain until the cows come home, conversing about the quantum domain, the nonlocal domain, the virtual domain (discussed in detail within this book), wave-particle theory.
The first half of this book is all about quantum physics, the fascinating subject of the wave-particle theory. A wave and More...

I finished this book 2 days ago and the only reason I hadn't reviewed it yet is because I'm still rereading some chapters. It's already overdue to my library but I'm keeping it just because of it's reread value.
In my review of Chopras' last book I read, "Power, Freedom, and Grace" I said I gave it 4 stars because I found some of the ideas to be outrageous. But I also said that Chopra commented himself saying "This ideas will first sound outrageous" but that they'l More...

Don't remember how I first got a hold of this book--was it given to me? Did I get it from the bookstore? I had it years ago and browsed through it but didn't quite get into it. I then chanced upon Chopra's "The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success" in the bookstore, the spiritual dimension of success very much appealing to me. I purchased it right there and then, loved it, and that led me to this book, which I pleasantly discovered I already owned. It lays the groundwork for the basic pr

Recently I have had so many strange things happen to me that I had to find a book help me understand it. A person from my past and I, who, well, let's just say she's my nemesis (ha), actually painted something very similar. She saw a photo of it online and accused me of copying although I didn't! A friend of mine named Jacqui watched the same indie movie as me at the same exact time and went online to talk about it at the same time as me. Then, the next week I randomly decided to call her...

It started great. Here I am, spiritually-impaired from an atheist upbringing, and the message of synchronicity totally hits home with me. But Deepak completely loses me when he goes into Quantum physics. When someone uses science to make a point I like to be able to really understand the experiments and their outcome. Here I couldn't really understand and I think it can be satisfying only to someone who can actually understand quantum physics or who doesn't need to understand and just trusts Dee

I love love love this book. I'm a firm believer in synchronicity and interconnectedness and all that cool stuff. I have seen too many instances of intention creating coincidence not to love this validating book. I've even taken to recording what I call my woo-woo moments when I think something or read a word on a page and in the same instant there it is on TV or radio- the same damn word or idea. Or I'll read completely random books bearing no outward similarity and they each contain the sa

This book itself is a meditation. The long, disconcerting, winding, interconnected path that I've been reading my way along - quantum mechanics, physics, sacred geometry - driving myself ziggity boom with confusion and inquiry, merges into one. Synchronicity. I can stop cross-eyeing my friends with all the loopy wanderings to connect science and metaphysical. It's already connected! This book is the first Deepak Chopra book I've read. That I haven't before for no discernible reason tells me the

A lot of what Chopra says rings true for me. Paying attention to coincidences is like paying attention to dreams. They can guide us at a deeper and usually somewhat more reliable level than our rational and practical minds can. Like a lot of people I've read lately, he can't say enough about the importance of meditation. And I especially liked what he had to say about paying attention to archetypes. It is a book that I will probably refer back to from time to time, a good resource for de

A very enightening look at synchronicity- the coincidences that occur that affect one's life. Chopra connects spiritual laws to the laws of physics and makes a very interesting case for the existence of a spiritual dimension to existence. I read this book after a dear friend died suddenly, and it comforted me very much. Chopra encourages the reader to examine the coincidences in one's own life to try to find patterns, and I found this to be a fascinating exercise/

As usual, Deepak has enlightened us with his wisdom and easy-to-read language in this fascinating book. I love reading his work because it makes so much sense, without having to stretch my imagination. He lays out clearly how the universe works in our lives, and how to harness its power through aligning ourselves with its principles. It is very easy reading and very fulfilling information.

This book gets as much as 2 stars because the first 1/3 of the book describes some early experiments in quantum physics that are easy to understand for someone who doesn't know anything about quantum physics. However, if you do know something on the subject I am sure you will be severly underimpressed by this book. The rest of the book (or as much of it that I could stand to read) gives some hokey suggestions on how to "fulfill your desire" such as painting a picture of what you desire

I will admit I had to read the first few chapters a couple of times - the whole quantum physics thing was a bit tricky to understand - but on a whole it is a fantastic and inpiring (?) read! I really ahve to read it again, it seems like one of those books that needs to be read a few times to get the most out of it!

Found this at the library and since I have tics to see Chopra for March, I was wanting to read something by him. So far, So very good. I love how it starts off and the premise is recognizing the "Coincendences" in your life and the way these things help to connect you to many other things, also how to bring awarness to these while they are happening and using them to create a life that falls in line with your visions. I'm finding inspiration in Chopra's theories already.

An interesting perspective on the how the universe works. While it is important to learn about various perspectives, one has to keep in mind that it's just a theory. Those who enjoy reading about quantum physics will probably enjoy this book.

I really liked a lot of the concepts in this book, but for this type of book I'd rather have lists of concepts rather than one concept and then several stories to illustrate. Too time consuming! I didn't make it all the way through reading - I went to skimming pretty quickly.

Ok, I never thought I would read a book like this, but it is actually really interesting and I can feel myself getting calmer and more in touch with the "non-local soul" as I read. We could all use a little more belief in the universe as a nurturing and readable place...or should I say force? Anyway, I'll let you know how I feel once I have gotten my way through the 7 days of meditation.
This is a "good read" I must say, though it does get a little preachy and I am More...

Very interesting idea on infinite power of conincidence. Honestly for a not so 'spiritual' me is quite a struggle to grasp the idea at the beginning of the book. However quite profound insight to gain at the end.

I'm not so much on the style of this book, but it's got great information and suggestions. If you're looking to become more aware of your connection with the Universe, this book will help.

A mash-up of information that I've already read countless times, in countless other books. I wouldn't say it was a waste of money, but I wouldn't tell people to run out and buy it, either.

This is a GREAT read with many step-by-step walk thoughts that will help any spiritual seeker put one foot in front of the other. The only part of the book I did not take to heart is Chopra's discussion about taking on Archetypes. For myself I see no need to do this and thought it strange that Chopra suggested it, being that his discussions usually gears a person to discover his/her own strengths as one is connected with the Source. This seemed out of Chopra's character and the suggestion threw

This book is truth...found so many ideas that reflected Biblical scripture. Truth is where you find it.
