I liked this story about Mick, who has never taken any real action before. He basically drifts through life. Seeing him suffer through passively watching others prepare for the holidays as he stands in a shop window as a 'living mannequin' made me very sad. Mick is a shy guy living a quiet life as a gay man who still feels the hurt of his family rejecting him after his coming out. His seasonal job as a window-shop model suits him perfectly: standing still all say, quietly observing the outside world. Until one day a handsome man takes a good look at him. This man's gaze is making it hard for Mick to stay still.
This is a well-written, sweet, seasonal story, which is actually no more than what might be the beginning of a lovely romance. The protags d

Simple story of a man who lets life pass him by, completely happy to watch from the sidelines. That is, until New Year's, when he finds out the object of his desire is about to leave for good and he has one last chance to change things.
