I think this idea of this book was a good one, and the sex scenes were definitely hot, but I did not feel connected to any of the three characters in any way, shape or form, nor did I feel that they were connected to each other. Huge Thank You to Eliza Gayle for having a plus size heroine. It is nice to have a novel where the heroine has beautiful curves. Loved it more that Chase and Murphy loved her curves.

Here were my thoughts BEFORE I read the book: I'm so drawn to this story line, but I still haven't read this one partly because the price is a little too high for a short novel but mostly because it drives me CRAZY when the female lead is plus-sized and beautiful, but the cover model is lean and beautiful. Midnight Playground is a scorching hot read! Though this is a short erotic novel, the author did a great job creating a sensual and emotional story with interesting characters. We have the heroes, bruised from a bad past relationship and hesitant to take that same journey again. Absolutely loved it. Ms. Gayle has added several elements to this story that are more boundary BDSM - some knife play, breath play, and very creative roping. I loved it - it was HOT AS HELL and if you are looking for something to heat up your night this is a guaranteed. I always like books with "plus sized" people being the lead female role, whether it's with one male partner or many. I liked how this book was about two of the three characters having an issue. It wasn't just the submissive who needed to work through a problem. I would have liked to know alittle more of the history behind Chase's issues, but otherwise this was a good book.
I have to say I was pretty impressed with this novel. They kept it real and it was hard not to enjoy every bit. Certain things were missing from the novel though and though most of it was concluded, it left me questing the submissives' past experience when she was tied up.
Pretty steamy. I do like it when the heroine isn't rail thin. I also like it when the dominant dudes see submissive in someone who totally doesn't want to think of herself as submissive. First time I tried this author. The plot was sweet and the characters were believable. It was a nice and light fun read. Light on the BDSM. Just right on the sexy guys.
I really enjoyed this book. It was refreshing to have a heroine who had issues but not steming from abuse or attack. She just had regular family problems, nothing earth-shattering, just regular problems many of us face daily. I liked that.
