This is my first free softcopy from GoodReads giveaways. This is also my first read about vampire lives. Initially, I got excited about having it for free with the condition of writing a review for it. I dont expect a grandeur plot considering this is a sequel of Bowler's novel, Moon Rising. But I am still hoping that Sunrise to Sunset will stand as its own merit to provide us the continuing saga of Nessy's new life: half-Gulon-half-vampire adventures.

After awaken from unconsciousness, Nessy re...more

The stunning page turning sequel to Moon Rising where Nessy's adventures continue.

Published with the love and kindness from the most wonderful publishing team anyone could ever ask for, without their help this sequel would not be possible!

I was looking forward to reading Sunrise to Sunset after being mightily impressed by its predecessor, Moon Rising. I must say I was not disappointed.

The story continues with Nessy becoming the Queen of the underworld having defeated the previous ruler, Hervidor. The story revolves around Nessy's struggle to deal with her new found position and the pressure it puts on the people she loves and the trouble it brings. Nessy also has to struggle with who she is, still retaining her human feelings as...more

This is an amazing sequel, one that I received as a present from a work colleague.
I loved every minute of the adventure, after reading Nessy's first story in Moon Rising I was keen to discover the remainder. I do not feel this book can be read as a stand alone story and that Moon Rising must be read first, because of the referrals from the characters and the many hints into Nessy's back ground, so Moon Rising provides much of this detail and makes the storyline easier to understand.

I liked the...more

I have read the first in this series Moon Rising and left a review on that one too. Although I dont come on here often neither do I leave reviews for loads of other people thats simply because I am intrigued by Laurie Bowler's writing talents and I am always constantly reading the books that this author creates in between the usual daily life routine.

Sunrise to Sunset is just as intriguing as Moon Rising, and I felt myself instantly drawn into the storyline, and the imaginative creation of the w...more

Laurie Bowler adds another novel to the vampires-in-love genre with Sunrise to Sunset. Like other vampire tales, this novel is long, filling 312 pages before Nessy finally finds a way to live with her divided nature and avoid “dim-witted” moves. The author includes new twists on old legends, with ancient enemies of vampires being the more feline Gulon rather than traditional werewolves. And there are modern touches with scientific investigation of DNA conducted by a cold-handed man.

The story ope...more

Review provided by Black Lagoon Reviews:

Sunrise to Sunset is the second novel in Laurie Bowler's quaint paranormal romance series, Moon Rising. Once again, we follow Nessy on her journey to self discovery and true love in a world that is still stacked against her depite the death of her murderous and nefarious maker Hervidor. Now a full fledged vampire with unique DNA allowing her to retain her Gulon heritage as well as her humanity, she still finds herself the oddity among her kind. But, now th...more

I have finally gotten around to reading this sequel to Moon Rising and I can say I was not dissapointed. The story had developed massively and from reading this I can see the Bowler's skills have improved greatly to a scal where I can safely say the story draws you into it and is full of romance, love, battles, friendship and Nessy simply finding herself once again.

Bowler has explored the orgins and the deeper characterisation in this book which I thoroughly enjoyed reading about and has explore...more

Sunrise to Sunset starts off where Moon Rising left off, Hervidor is dead and now Nessy is the the Queen of the Underworld. However, she cannot remember anything! She wakes up with Charles and Hera but she can only remember Hera at first. It takes a chunk of the story for Nessy to remember everything but im glad she did, I would have been devastated if she completely forgot Charles!

Nessy is now full vampire, but also Gulon as well. This is an intrigueing development and it was interesting to lea...more

For everyone who hasn't read my review of Moon Rising, I gave it four stars. This, Sunrise to Sunset, it the sequel, in which we witness all of Nessy's adventures, now that she has woken up from being transformed into a real vampire, instead of the Gulon/human/vampire-mix she was in MR. But wait, she still is unique. This book only makes you want more. Read the reviews for both books and enter the giveaway!

OMG! I really liked this story. I was not sure what was happening at first, cause I felt that I was coming in at a half-way point. Once I got to reading the story I really got into it and when I finally was able to finish the book I wanted to read more. I keep thinking about the characters and the choices that the Heroine made and I could see why she made them. Her character was past I would have liked to know more about, and perhaps the other characters too. I still enjoyed the book and appreci...more

The continuation of Nessy;s story written from her perspective, This is another from this author I have read via my kindle and one I have thoroughly enjoyed the changes within the plot were unexpected but incredibly fun to read.
