This book is now pretty old considering it cover Perl 5.8.8. If you're looking for a Perl reference, perldoc online is probably easier (or read Modern Perl if you are new to the language). I do still reach for this book when I need a quick reminder of regex syntax, but I think that's because I've burned the page location of that information into my brain.
