I really enjoyed this novella. It's about this young woman, Maddi Drake, who is the new owner of an old house that's haunted. The story starts off with a creepy kind of feeling. Maddi just arrived there and is already hearing noises. She investigates, sees a glow from downstairs that quickly disappears, and goes back to bed. Over the course of the story, the odd things going on in the house continues to get more pronounced, which I thought was well done. I didn't feel that the story was rushed....more
Lauralynn adds to her interesting take on the supernatural with this story. A new setting for a young woman who find things around her are not always as they seem. Always entertaining in her development and charaters Lauralynn has added another good read to her list. I look forward to her next novel that should be out soon.
I fell in love with this book. It starts out slow, but it definitely picks up pace. Even if the ending is predictable-- I still loved the writing style.
