When Love Isn't Enough is a story about love, loss, and difficult choices. The title alone clearly depicts that sometimes love isn't enough. I was truly touched by this story where Samantha a woman betrayed by love falls in love with Tony a kind and thoughtful gentleman who has to make a choice between staying with Samantha the woman he loves or Angela his high school sweetheart. The setting paints a realistic image of Santa Cruz matching with the college party scenes and beautiful sunsets. The ...more

I am generally not a fan of romance novels, and did not know what to expect when I started this book.
However, it surprised me....I was drawn into Samantha's life, with all its joys, heartaches, and regrets and could not put this book down till I found out how it would end. The dialogue and characters were well drawn and believable, and I found I was sorry when the book ended. I wanted to know more about them all.
It was a good read.....and I would recommend it. It is not your average romance nov

When Love Isn't Enough isn't the type of book I typically read. However, I loved the title and the idea of having a book that's plotline revolves around that concept so I entered to win it on Goodreads...and I won! It was the first and only book I've won on here so I was super excited about getting. Once I recieved it though it sat on my to be read pile for several weeks. Finally, I decided I should go ahead and read it since the author (Stephanie Casher) was nice enough to give it to me and als ...more

What feels right versus what is right: it’s a predicament that none of us ever want to be stuck in, but most of us have been at one time or another. In "When Love Isn’t Enough," Stephanie Casher weaves the two together in a realistic, sometimes heartbreaking novel of growth.

Samantha Merrick is a train wreck waiting to happen. She’s partying like there’s no tomorrow, getting drunk and stoned every night, and waking up next to strangers on a semi-regular basis. Since her ex betrayed her and broke

Samantha likes to party. And waking up with a naked stranger was the last straw. Finding her way to the water’s edge to watch the sunrise, Samantha knew she had to soon change her partying habits. Samantha leaves heartbreak and family in Los Angles to attend college at UCSC. She loves Santa Cruz! Especially being near the water. It makes her feel at home and able to open herself up to let the waves carry her stress away. She meets Tony when one morning he's sitting in "her spot" on a cliff waiting for the sunrise. Samantha moves down from Tony and sits to enjoy the sunrise. Once up, the sun shines a whole new light into Samantha's life. She and Tony just seem to click. I won't say more b

Romancing the Book
Given the title of the book, I was not expecting an easy ride. I was expecting bumps and curves and turns and was totally ready for it. This book bugged the bajeezus out of me. Everyone in it was dumb. And selfish. OR they were so altruistic it was hard to stomach. I can’t believe how much I did not like this book. This one hit on a lot of peet peeves. The only think I can really say about this book without giving away why I hated it so much so I don’t influence anyone is that the actual writin ...more

How quickly can people fall in love? And how will they know real love from force of habit? Tony’s believed he loves Angela for years, but hasn’t made a commitment. Now, in his time away from her, he’s found Samantha. In Stephanie Casher’s When Love Isn’t Enough, the triangle of relationships becomes ever more tangled. Angela fights for her man. When love isn't enough is an okay book, but the author is kind of a procrastinator, the sequels written spaced out, and out of order

I really wanted to like this book but ended up very disappointed. I was expecting a noble hero making a terrible choice with whom I could empathize (similar to Dear John), but that didn't materialize. Instead, the character was basically spineless and easily manipulated so I couldn't feel anything but pity for him. Maybe if the author had developed the character more, it would have been more satisfying, but I'm doubtful.

Awesome story...I read this book in one night! I couldn't put my kindle down...hoping that the sequel is coming very soon! I need to know what's next for Samantha & Tony.
