I realise this was short, but it was delightful. I read a lot of books heavy in crime, mystery, and oh, so serious. This was a great change. I read this and The Big Uneasy right before starting Gene. I've seen the 51st State. So far, I'd say I really enjoy Stel. Gene, which I have read before is next, and after that, Decipher.

Stel Pavlou makes stuff up for a living. Despite all advice to the contrary, he intends to go on making stuff up until somebody physically stops him. Distractions would be the best bet, food mainly, and the odd shiny thing.

Stel Pavlou is Anglo-Greek so only 50% of his gift giving should be treated with any suspicion. Stel is short for Stelios. No one knows what Stelios means. One guess is it’s fro
