The interactive storybook app version of Who Stole the Moon? is playful and dreamy. More than just the book, the opening page shows the main character, Bertie Brown, holding four balloons, each with an option for the reader to select: read, games, about, songs. I appreciate this format, because while the games are fun, they can be a distraction to the story when they are embedded. This was the most user-friendly and interactive e-book that I have encountered for kids. The paid version of the app comes with 8 songs, karaoke, as well as various modes and games to interact with the story. There is an iPad and an iPhone version, making it accessible to kids on the go as well. The story of Bertie, a child detective who tries to figure out the mystery of the missing moon, is fun and engaging, with the drawings digitized for the app to help "modernize" the look. The ebook app version of Who Stole the Moon is fun and interactive for students who enjoyed the original book, and even for those unfamiliar to the original. There are many things for the reader to do as the story progresses. On the initial page, when the screen is touched little space aliens of various forms appear and then float away.
