According to Barnes & Noble, the age for this book is 10-14 years. It might actually be a couple of years below that. This book is extremely easy to read.

There are 4 books in the series and each is told from a different character's point of view. That doesn't bother me but the seeming change in personality of the characters from book to book does. I understand that each book is a completely different perspective, but it comes across as implausible when a very rough character in one book beco...more

This is the second book in the series, which really should be read in order. The four roommates will each have their own narrative, as the story progresses. Although this book gives enough information that it will be an exciting read on its own, it is much more suspenseful if you have read Tomorrow Girls: Behind the Gates. Book 1 was Louisa's story, and this second one is Rosie's. The girls' personalities continue to build throughout this volume, and we find out why Rosie is so alert for danger,...more

I enjoyed this story for middle graders. I think the first book was a bit better, but this was still enjoyable.

A great addition to the first book in the series. This one is told from the perspective of Rosie, the girl who most think is too cold towards the others. But once readers hear her story, you begin to understand why she is the way she is. She's keeping secrets that could get her and her family in trouble. And it makes her that much more relatable because instead of this tough character, she's actually afraid. Afraid of everything, all the time. She just tries to hide it from the others to act tou...more

The second book in the Tomorrow Girls series proves to be just as exciting as the first. This book is told from the point of view of Rosie so you get a different insight into who she really is. This book finds the girls on the run from their boarding school and back to their hometown of Chicago. Along the way they run into some guys from the boys boarding school and together they make their escape, straight into a training camp of the enemy. They manage to escape on a food truck, but without the...more

A couple of weeks ago, I read the book series "Tomorrow Girls" in English without using a dictionary. It has a 4-book series and 4 different main character speak in the each different book. So, when I started reading the second one, I really got confused because in the second one, the main character was different from the first book.

The book series was so interesting that I couldn't put down my Kindle, and I finished reading all of them for 2 weeks. The story belongs to the near future novel and...more

Revised version posted on Luxury Reading and shortened version posted on my blog, Books and a Cup of Tea.

When Louisa, Rosie, Evelyn, and Maddie learn the truth about Country Manor School, Rosie finds herself running once again. This time, though, it's because CMS has a secret - it belongs to the Alliance, the opposing team to the War raging around them.

Now, self-appointed leader Rosie finds herself not only trying to protect herself, but three other girls as they flee the school. Rosie does per...more

Rosie, Evelyn, Louisa, and Maddie are four young teenage girls who were sent to a remote boarding school to keep them safe from the war. But the girls discovered a terrible secret - their boarding school was run by the enemy, the Alliance, who tricked parents into sending their children there to be used as hostages - and decided to escape.

This book picks up right where book one, Behind the Gates, left off, as the girls decide to try and find their way to Chicago to reunite with their parents and...more

I love Rosie's character through out the book, defiant, knowing, and undeniably right She is plagued throughout the book with thoughts of Wren, her sister, and distrusts Drew..for a while.

Although this is a good book, it isn't as emotionally captivating as others. But don't let my lone, or anyone's lone review stop you from reading this book, I would look at multiple reviews before making a decision. And as a reader, perhaps why I wasn't as "satisfied" with the book as I could have could because...more

I enjoyed the second installment in the Tomorrow Girls series and am eagerly looking forward to the third, although I did find the plot about Rosie being an illegal alien who's family purchased new id bracelets on the black market unbelievable, simply because of two things- her accent would give her away and also a school that had so carefully researched the taking of America's elite wouldn't have accepted her as there'd be limited background on her family. Still a great story though.

This book was from Rosie's point of view. You learn more about her and her past. The girls have escaped from CMS and they want to make their way home. They are learning to rely on each other more even though while at CMS Rosie didn't really hang out with maddie or Evelyn. Rosie has become the leader of the group and she takes that responsibility seriously as she is sure that no one has been through what she has been through.

This book was awesome! Except I didn't like how it change perspectives of things, I mean, ok, we needed to get to know Rosie, but it was confusing at first when we had no idea who was talking and how Rosie was always saying things like, "They have no idea how non-scary these things are!" Or, "See what mean? They think THIS is scary!!" Any ways, I loved the book and romance inbetween!!

Just like the first.

Good youth fiction. It was a really easy read but still interesting. Great for the 10-13 age set. Just a hint of boy/girl drama along with a healthy dose of "end of the world/dystopia" style adventure.

Kept me interested enough to want to read book three.

I read this book as well, I don't like starting a series and not finishing it. I got it from the library and could not put it down. It was great, you probably would want to read the first book so that you understand the plot line fully. I would also recommend this book to others.

I thought this book was ok. I didn't love it but it wasn't bad. I didn't see he ending coming. I was so shocked. I like this because it's a little bit of an adventure book. I didn't like that it was kinda bland until the ending. The first book was kinda like this.
Jeannie
Interesting that she changed main characters for this book. I liked the main character for this one a bit better. As a series, I was very glad to have the first three books to read one after another because the end left me feeling like it wasn't much of an end.

Such a cute mid-grade (as in middle school) series. A fun read for twelve, thirteen and older kids. My daughter got me this series as a gift. What a fun present! I'm really enjoying it. This is another dystopia series.

These books make me anxious. You could tell this one was in the middle of a series. Didn't go too far even though characters were developed and the story was told through a new perspective. Enjoying the series overall so far though.

This is book two in this middle grade dystopian series. I really liked it and I'm off to hunt down the third book. It looks like one of my kids has swiped it! Quick read, clean.

This second book in the series was as fat paced as the first. I liked that it is told from a different character's point of view. I'm looking forward to reading the third book.

Tomorrow Girls continues in a fun sequel that's everything you could ask for in middle grade girl adventure stories. Mystery, action, and just a touch of romance.
Kerry
I like the way Eva Gray switches main character yet continues on where we left off from the first book. Still full of twists and turns and revelations.
Pamely
Excellent series, leaves to longing for the next book. The characters explore the qualities of friendship, leadership, and trust in a world torn apart by war.
Chelsey
It was very interenting i'll give you that. I really liked how the girls met up with the boys they met in book one. And how they all team up and escape to go to Chicago and tell their parents what they know. And what happened at the end of the story differently makes you want to pick up the next book in the story and start reading.
Nellie
i thought it was a really good book and i recomend it to anyone who likes the hunger games will love the series

I love this book. My goal is to read every book in the series. So far I loved the first 2 books. I'm at the library now and just checked out the 3rd book. Can't wait to read it!

Eva Gray lives in Chicago and enjoys reading, cooking, and camping. Though she doesn't expect to need them in the near future, Eva keeps lots of extra batteries for her flashlight and a stock of canned food in her pantry.
