This is a cute book with animal characters and a farmer. The idea that all the animals and the farmer try to squeeze into mouse's house for his birthday party is good for teaching size relations. I think this book could be read during an animal themed unit.

It's Mouse's birthday, and the whole farm is stopping by, trying to fit into Mouse's house to bring their greetings (and gifts that rhyme with "knees." Fun, playful verse from Yolen here.
