I've read and reviewed this before but I've since read The Siren and The Angel and know Eleanor so much better, I felt the need to go back and revisit.

So Eleanor, long before Nora Sutherlin was thought of, well trained submissive to Søren, is loaned out by him to spend a week with Daniel while he goes to Rome on 'business'. Daniel is a reclusive, widowed dominant who has been grief-stricken and living the life of a hermit since the death of his wife and submissive.

Søren knows Eleanor will be goo

This little 41 page novella was spectacular. It was sexy of course but what surprised the hell out of me was how MOVING it was. Nora and Daniel had a connection, even though it was only 7 days, it was breathtaking to read. I wish that it had been a 14 day loan instead. After readingThe Siren........this is just what the Mistress ordered. I would recommend this little tiny book cause it will pleasantly knock your panties off, after all, this book is about Nora,T

Excellent!!! What a delicious peek into Nora's life at a younger age. However, I strongly suggest that you read at least The Siren first, to get the full impact of her character and this story. You really need to know where Nora is in her life now, to understand what came before, in my opinion.

Daniel...oh my, what lovely, broken man. My heart bled for him and Nora is just what he needs to move on to live and once again. She brings him back to life. It is sensual, passionate and Daniel's grief o

This is a short and sweet and totally deserving of a full five star novella.

This author is going to be the death of me because she's breaking my heart and mind piece by piece............The MOST disfunctional, f@cked up, romance series I've ever read but a BEAUTIFUL romance all the same......can't find the words to show you how exquiste her words are, so I'll leave you with my favourite part....

Before she was a famous dominatrix, Nora was Søren's little one. When he needed to leave town he would leave her in the care of another (mentioned in The Angel) .

This was a short novella of when Nora was lent to Daniel for a week.
Three years ago, Daniel lost his wife and his possession, when she died. He is a recluse, and has been in a depression since losing the love of his life. Now Nora has come along to hopefully get him to start to live again.

Hello, Nora.

How are you, darling? Doing good?
I have to admit, I've enjoyed this glimpse in your past.
You've managed to surprise me... yet again. Somehow, you always do.

And, let me tell you this - I really like Daniel. Another lost soul, trying to find his way. There seem to be too many of those. Or, maybe, some are just a bit more lost than others?
You have such a good way with words. As good as with a crop. Oh, you'll figure out what I'm talking about. Just you wait.

Gosh he is just so broken and yummy!!! I only love a broken man in fiction. I think it's because they are still really strong and usually fixable to a certain extent. It's not cute in real life though! This was a quick & hot read and I'm sure I will read it again and again. :D

Once again, Tiffany Reisz goes all Mr. Mesmer on me and I am lost in her thrall!
This was a delicious morsel.

I am currently delving into the free sequels on the author's website.
Drool.

I'm becoming quite hopelessly enamored with Ms. Reisz' writing: her style and characters, her light and humorous tone. Simmering below the lovely writing is an angst and pathos that pulls my heart along effortlessly in its wake.

It's a sheer act of bravery to write in these themes and Ms. Reis

I read this ages ago and as far as I remember it wasn't bad.

I haven't read any books from The Original Sinners series. However, I've read so many reviews that I know most of the characters, its good and bad points.
This story offers a glimpse of a younger The Original Sinners main character and of her relationship with another key character. I think the lovers of this series may appreciate (and understand) it a bit more.

I don't have any particular opinion on this. I'll leave it in the middle sinc

Contentment can be the enemy. But don't worry. Life, death, or an act of God will eventually intervene. Enjoy the contentment while it lasts. It won't last forever.

HUH, I'm sure I'll never know what I feel with this series. Even this short story made a huge impact, it's a necessary to read, all of the things matter, I have to know all of the details. I just know these and there I went jumping on Seven Day Loan before The Angel

I never thought seven day loans could be so sexy...

We get to know more about Nora & Soren relationship in this book. I know guys, we don't get a lot of Soren in this book but to be honest, "Seven Day Loan" shows how a generous person Soren is. And also it shows how self-confident Soren is and I love self-confident men. He knows Eleanor will always go back to him :)

It's rare that a novella earns 5 stars, not because the writing or really even the story, but more to do with the length. It's near impossible to give the reader enough in such a short span of time, yet Tiffany Reisz was able to get me in under fifty pages.

In the Gift, or Seven Day Loan (if you'd like); he gives her to Daniel for seven days. Just seven days for Eleanor 'Nora' to give a man a reason to live after having three years of wanting nothing more than to fade away.

Daniel is a Dom who ha

It's ridiculous how Tiffany can get me completely sucked into a story and feeling so much in only FORTY THREE freaking pages!

This short story follows twenty three year old Eleanor on a "seven day loan" with Daniel, a friend of Søren's. It was actually really interesting to see her younger as a submissive. Daniel was really interesting and if I wasn't already so in love with all the other men in Nora/Eleanor's life, I would say he is pretty perfect for her.

I read this short story before reading The Siren, and now after reading some of the other reviews, I feel I am going to have to come back and re-read it after I have read The Siren. That being said, I enjoyed the short story anyway, even if, as the other reviews say, you should have read the other book first to fully understand the implications of what happened during the story.

These books test the very outer limits of my comfort zone. I am pushed, pulled, and tested, but I'm also treated to some of the best writing and character studies that I've read in some time. This is my conundrum.

This book will be better enjoyed, in my humble opinion, if you've already read The Siren. Although this book is set many years prior to The Siren, it gives another snap shot of Nora's past and where she comes from. Soren is in this book, if only for the first chapter, and he continues t

A seven day loan...

After losing his wife three years ago, Daniel has yet to move on. He hasn't even left his home since his wife died, except to attend her funeral. Daniel is friends with a certain priest who decides that while he is out of town, he should 'borrow' his submissive. Eleanor isn't too happy with this arrangement at first, but Daniel grows on her. She gets a glimpse of how life could be like to be with a Dom who could give her all of his attention, not a man who can give her Thursda

A Quick, Captivating Read!

I've been wanting to begin this series for quite a while now and finally, just dived in. This short, prequel novella focuses on the events of a single week. During this week, Eleanor's master has "loaned" her to his friend, Daniel. Begrudgingly, Eleanor agrees to spend a week with this stranger, who has been celibate for the three years since the death of his wife. In no time, the relationship between the two heats up.

I have to admit that I struggled with the idea of E

5 Got to See a More Softer, Innocent Side of Nora Stars!!

This short takes place when Nora is still Eleanor at the young age of twenty-three. Soren must leave for 7 days so he sends Eleanor to stay with Daniel during that time. Daniel is a thirty-six year old librarian who lost his wife three years ago. He has not left his house since his wife's funeral. Eleanor is on a 7 day loan but will Daniel allow her to leave when the 7 days are up? More importantly will Eleanor want to leave?

Hmmm...you don't really need a review out of me this time, do you? I'd think not, especially after all of the long winded reviews I've saddled you with this week. I've officially switched over to weekend mode already, so I'm slipping into lazy status early.

Okay, so Nora did manage to interest me in this one. I think it's possible that I might have a fondness for the younger version of Eleanor over the more recent version of worldly Nora. Color me perplexed over this riddle. This does make me mo

I didn't like this story. I felt dirty after reading this story which takes a lot since I don't have problems with people fucking animals. If I read this story correctly, Eleanor is a submissive to a fucking priest which really confuses me. The fact that she is pimped out to an old friend to help him get over his wife's death leaves a bad taste for me. I'm still not rating it a 1 star because the writing style was fine. I just found some of the story "tricks" to be distasteful and not to my kink ...more

Cute little story. I suggest people who have never read one of this author's stories to start with it. It gives you a good idea what this author is able to do and you'll know if it's too much for you or not.

Note that Søren (priest/Master) lent Nora (his slave) to Daniel, his friend who lost his wife 2 years ago and didn't leave his property since then. If you don't like the idea that a dom could lend his sub to someone else, forget this book.
