Couldn't finish it but it was well written. I found it hard to get into trial details when I already knew he did it from yet first page. And you guess what the trial details will be illustrating early on. I think it would be a good book for some people interested in women's law.
This is a different crime book. You know from the back cover what happens so in that sense there is no mystery. In fact, the murder is over in the first 25 pages. But the story really focuses on the trial and the ridiculousness of Victoria's provocation laws - that a husband can kill his wife and claim he was provoked which therefore justifies manslaughter.

Anyway.. the story is a good read but sadly the author lets it down with a writing style better suited to autobiography or journalism. The au
