Victoria Pade is one of my favorite Harlequin authors. This book is a good example of why: no petty bickering between the hero and heroine, they actually talked about stuff in their relationship, and good sexual tension without being too heavy-handed about it. This author is good at creating likeable characters that are easy for a reader to cheer for.

I'm usually not a contemporary romance reader but this was really good. I enjoyed the hero, who was an ex-hockey player, who doesn't love athletes! It was set in a small town which appeals to me having grown up in one. If you are looking for a quick romantic holiday read this is the book for you!
loved this book and will definitely be reading more stories from Northbridge
I have really enjoyed this series. They are all short novels involving romances in a small town. Dag and Shannon were a great couple. My one negative was that there seemed to be too many secondary characters from the previous books thrown and and it was confusing at times.

Victoria Pade is the bestselling author of numerous contemporary romances, six historical romances and two mystery novels. She began her writing career after leaving college to have her first daughter. That daughter was seven years old and there was a second daughter, before Victoria had her first book accepted for publication. That novel and the three that followed it were historical romances.
