This is the best Christian single book I read so far!!! Michelle is so funny and tell you all about Christian singleness for women in a gentle, creative, and direct way. I feel like she is my friend and sister in Christ after reading this book! :-) She explains why having God as the Lover of our Souls is enough while we are single.

Each chapter is only about 2 pages with 65 chapters. I finished reading this in 3 days. Extremely creative chapters are "The Menu of Life," which explains life choices

She placed emphasis on: Setting your priorities here
• Having a good relationship with God: Learn how to personalize the word for yourself in order to get instruction from it. to be a happy person is to have contentment, thou we all have standards we want to attain or achieve in life, but all those that seem to have it all are still miserable, because after all is said and done, our relationship with God and the Trust we have in his promises are what truly sustains us. I was quite reluctant to read this book. I didn't want to read a book that was going to make me more anxious about being single. I wanted to read a book that was going to encourage me to be content single, not settle, and focus on serving God. That's exactly what this book did. Her other titles were questionable to me, which is why I thought this was going to be a typical Christian dating book, but for some reason I felt compelled read it. I'm glad I did! The overall theme was to serve God and e ...more

I got this book as a present from a friend. At first I wanted to turn it away because it's very religious but I decided to read it anyway, trying to keep and open mind. I disagreed with some of the religious stuff , and some of the points the author was making were very repetitive, but overall the book made some good points. She bascially said that you might not have someone in your life RIGHT NOW, but that's OKAY because you should work on improving yourself and the world around you and take fu ...more

Wow I read this book in 2 days! After buying "What to do until love finds you" and hating it with a passion, I decided to give Hammond another try with this book by checking it out from the library. I was not sure at first because I did not like the title. It reminded me too much of the whole "independent woman, don't need no man, just fall in love with Jesus" stuff.

But boy was I surprised. I loved this book! It could be read as a daily devotional. I honestly wanted to share so much with my sing

The seems to be a single woman's movement going on about how the church has virtually ignored the single women. This "movement" is concerned that the single woman's need to have a husband is not being addressed by the church when historically, the (church) family helped single women fulfill this God-given position in her life.

Ms. McKinney-Hammond, hit on one point I feel needs to be emphasized to all single women: Your primary relationship, above all others, is with God. No other relationship wi

As a college student it's so easy to get wrapped up in the wordly view that you need to be dating somebody & while I didn't subscribe to it, I wasn't truly embracing my singlehood either. I came across Sassy, Single & Satisfied when I was searching for an inspirational book for a friend and got it for myself. It's opened my eyes to so much & has definitely strengthened my walk both in Christ and in singleness. It gives readers a completely new perspective on singleness and all that i ...more

This was a book I read a while back when I was single. She's a Christian writer and I am not a Christian so I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but it was actually a really great read! A lot of what she said was really helpful and as silly as it may sound the book did make me feel sassy and satisfied! I didn't agree with 100% of what she wrote but what I did agree with made it definitely worth the read! I recommend this book to any single woman who is feeling discouraged, regardless of her religious b ...more

I think maybe I am satisfied being single and I don't really put my life on hold waiting for my husband. So reading through this book kind of irritated me. I kept thinking it'd get better or more interesting, so I skimmed the last 1/3.

Hmm, this book was good in some ways but a little bit over the top in others - especially when she discussed masturbation. That's when I stopped reading.
