It's the celebrity wedding of the season...

The news that Hollywood bad boy Rufus George is finally settling down has caused a media storm. Especially since his bride is a civilian - a nobody.

Kelly Monsoon is a pretty, curvy theatre administrator. She never expected to meet a mega-star like Rufus let alone have him fall in love with her. And when Rufus asks Kelly to come an

I really enjoyed this book. The main character, Kelly Monsoon, is warm and funny. I felt the bond of her friendship with her friends, Sophie and Mandy and with her family - all of which are great characters. I liked Rufus, the famous hollywood star boyfriend, who comes across as rather delicious, which made me want more of him in the story, it is a shame he is only a fleeting character. I also enjoyed the relationship between Kelly and Elody, a celebrity friend, which is very funny at times as K ...more

Celebrity Bride is Alison Kervin’s third novel after A WAG’s Diary and A WAG Abroad – both which I enjoyed immensely. Celebrity Bride is also the first of Alison’s novels not to star Tracie Martin (of A WAG’s Diary and A WAG Abroad fame!). It tells the story of Kelly Monsoon – a nobody – who is in a relationship with the hottest film star on the planet Rufus George.

I really enjoyed Celebrity Bride. It was very easy to get into and very easy to read as it’s told in the first person. It’s the plot

I had to skip through a whole middle section that was both boring and frustrating.

I just really want a decent light-hearted, romance novel in which the heroine isn't completely stupid and unlikeable. I just couldn't like her, which means I just couldn't like this book. The love interest is completely boring, and all I can remember about him is that he is and American actor in talks to play the next James Bond. When I read this, all I could think about was the internet outrage from Bond purists that would ensue if/when another American is ever cast to play him. Which...is prob ...more

The author can write funny, and this was really entertaining. I was irritated by the main character's loss of spunk in the middle, but it was understandable in the fictitious way, and also, the story would not have been interesting without it. So I get this and do not hold that against the book or the character.

Would be interested in reading something else by the same author - but not necessarily a sequel to this story.

I absolutely loved this book because it was so easy to get into and so warm and embracing. A real feel-good book with great characters. Then, when I really didn't expect it, there was the most enormous twist in the middle that I really didn't see coming and the whole book spun on its axis. I loooooved it. I read Wags Diary and Wag Abroad afterwards and I adored them too!! This writer is fab xx

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a interesting story and I was quite captivated in the lifes of Kelly & Rufus. An easy romance novel with a twist that I wasn't expecting. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a light read.

Wonderfully funny book however it wasn't until the end of the book that she was indeed the celebrity bride, however I hear there is a sequel to this story which would be lovely to see the life of a celebrity wife.

Well,I was hooked but it wasn't as fun as Sophie Kinsella and a little too serious for my taste...

A nice look at unwanted celebrity and the effects it can have on a person and their relationships. I found it an easier and better read than Ms.Kervin's other books.
