Brett Booth draws the Anita I saw in my head for all the years I read Hamilton's books, before this GN series started! At first, he did all the drawing, but now he only does the covers - happily, though, all the rest of adopted his look for Anita!

Another thing I like about these graphic novels (GN) is the time warp factor - Anita's attitudes have changed quite a lot in the 20 novels Hamilton has written. It's kind of fun to be reminded of the narrower definition of monsters she once operated wit

This volume has improved a lot compared to the last one, Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter: Circus of the Damned, Volume 1: The Charmer. Maybe because I didn't have to read about Jean-Claude attempts at marking Anita...

I read the original novels so many years ago - and subsequently gave up on them altogether - that I don't remember anything about them anymore. So, for me, reading the graphic novels is like almost reading the story for the first time. I completely forgot about Larry and it was nice to

WOW!! Loved getting to see - actually 'see' - my favorite characters in action... Didn't think i would enjoy these graphic novels as much as i am - can't wait for the next series! Laurell's such an amazing writer, and i have loved Anita Blake for years, but seeing the stories come to life in this genre has made me even more of a fan!

Awww, nostalgia.... back before I hated Richard with a fiery vengeance.

Favourite Character: Edward (I'm pretty sure he was there...)

The fact that I can barely remember this graphic novel and I just read it on Tuesday, is extremely sad... Thus far, I have found that the graphic novels fall short of the original novels, which I have to admit I expected this. However, they aren't nearly as good as I thought they were going to be... This might be because I haven't been reading them in order, as I don't really care because I've read all the books and the graphic novels

Martha (Still here...I think)
Anita Blake in graphic novel format!
THIS MAKES ME EXTREMELY HAPPY...
AGAIN...
WHY DID I NOT READ THIS SOONER...

ALSO, GOD DAMN IT I READ #2 BEFORE #1...

Remedying this situation when I go to the library today!

The only problem with these is that they take too long for the next book to come out. I finished this one and book 3 won't be available until April. I read a lot and have tons of books but I keep seeing these two books on my shelf and wanting so bad to read the next one (even though I read the whole series in the novels) Also I really don't like that they make graphics in hardcover, I really wish they'd be available in paper back right away, they just don't feel right.

This is better than the previous volume. More happens and it feels more interesting... more suspenseful, I guess. Will have to find the final volume to see how it ends. Has definitely encouraged me to read the novels though.

I'm really enjoying these graphic novel adaptations of the early Anita Blake books. I've got to wonder what will happen around book ten though... I'm guessing they won't go that far, hehe.

Love these.

I really enjoy reading my favorite series in comic book form. Marvel does a great job with the images.
Kim
Non-stop action. I was more than miffed when I realized the tale wasn't finished with this volume.
Heather
I think I like graphic novel versions even better than the novels
