This was my favorite volume, of the Blue Bicycle Trilogy. There are so many historical details which are less known from the general public, such as the existence of French Waffen SS who volunteered to go to Germany and fight there, because they were convinced that Hitler was the last barrier against Bolshevism...
Léa continues her often harsh adventures, through scenarios of war and great despair. I am not going to tell the story here, because I do not like to leave spoilers - but the whole thr

It's really badly written actually, or else it's just the Danish translation. Probably both. But the story is good. Oh, and the saddest death happens in this one.
But I really like the part, where Lea tells Charles that war is for the adults, and Charles says: "Then why do they shoot the children?" He's a clever boy.

Régine Deforges est décéd ...more

The third book in a series about a French girl during WWII. I have to say the first two were a LOT better, so I don't know that I'll read any more of that series.

Born in Montmorillon, Vienne (but currently living in Paris), she is sometimes called the "High Priestess of French erotic literature." Deforges was the first woman to own and operate a publishing house in France. Over the years, she has been censored, prosecuted, and heavily fined for publishing "offensive" literature. She was formerly president of the Société des Gens de Lettres de France and a ...more
