One does not read this book because it is a literary masterpiece, but because these stories need to be told. These veterans need a voice after so many years of silence. However, the editor has done the truth a disservice by the poor job in editing. One must look past the errors, which are confusing at best and inaccurate at worst, to see the heart of these heroic men.

A very insightful book describing battles and injuries and real life stories of some of the twins platoon marines that fought in Vietnam even going farther into the aftermath of their lives when they arrived home and how they were treated by some family and friends and society, too. The Vietnam war was more than a war in Vietnam as the book reveals.

My father was in this platoon, so this was very interesting and touching for me. The book was written very well, however, the last chapter fell short. It could have been left out, and did not really pull the book together. That being said, I would still recommend this to anyone!
