This is it, the first romance novel I ever read.
I picked this up at a Goodwill last summer due to my fascination with the ridiculous cover, hoping to find a hidden treasure inside.

I didn't get that.

It's actually kind of awful, but after reading this I decided there must be something out there in the romance genre that must be worth reading. And thus, started my slightly unhealthy addiction to romance novels. This opened up a whole new world of books for me and I love Historical Romance now.

This has been hyped as the worst book ever read by my brother and his best friend. They've had many hilarious conversations about this book, and it has stayed on his shelf as testamant to all the LAWLS.

Said to have horrible characters, awful pacing, stupidly contrived love scenes, and a supremely unsatifying ending.
I finally decided to see what all the fuss was about, and picked it up last month so I could join in on the LOLS.

This is the worst book I have ever read.
I'm going to have to disagree

Reb published her first book in 1989. She is the bestselling author of CALIFORNIA CARESS, PERFECT STRANGERS, MONTANA WILDFIRE ... & a bunch of other historical romance novels.

She lives on the southeast coast of New England in a big house built in 1865—haunted, of course (this is New England, aren't they're ALL haunted?—and only a five minute walk from the ocean, with a husband she loves almost
