Beg me…there had been a time when those words made her burn with desire. But now, there was only fear.

Once, Tania Sinclair’s life was almost perfect…oh, it had its ups and downs but she was happily married to a guy that adored her, one who had no problem indulging every kinky fantasy she ever had. But a couple of tragedies later, she’s barely holding it together. A car ac...more

Why I Read this Book: I have been wanting to try contemporary erotic romance for a while now. To be honest, I was a bit intimidated. I didn’t know what to expect or just how ‘erotic’ erotic would be, especially when I saw the warning on this book:

Warning: This book involves light bondage play, rape fantasy & role-playing. The acts between the hero & heroine are consensual, but they may not be ideal for all readers…

I was a bit hesitant when I read rape fantasy. I have never read anything...more

Apart from this book being one of the most different books that I have read to date, I liked the “forbidden love” aspect of the story as in Drake loving and lusting after the wife of his best friend, but being honorable enough never to cross that line when Kyle had been around. And even when the playing field had evened out, Drake had bided his time until Tania had been the one to approach him and initiate things to take their platonic relationship to the next level. I absolutely loved Drake as...more

Full of raw emotions that tug at your heartstrings Beg Me is an incredible story.

Erotic at times and heartbreaking at others this short story will grab hold of you and not let you go until it’s all said and done. Beg Me is certainly not going to be for everyone. The heroine enjoys rough sex, and rape fantasies – until she’s actually raped. This information is in the story blurb, so I’m not ruining anything for you, but what I want to point out is that it’s hard for most people to think erotic th...more

Wow I don't know where to start with this one. Beg me...wow. I really really like this book, but I really really hate it too. It's hands down getting 5 stars. There has never been a question about that.

I love Drake! He never let her down, even when she asked the impossible he agreed because he loved her that much! The book doesn't touch much on the husband she lost but I wonder if she should have married Drake in the beginning instead of him. He's perfect. The definition of love in my opinion....more

I read this novella as part of the Bound Temptations anthology but this review just includes my thoughts on Beg Me:

Now, I'll admit that if I'd realised the contents of this story before I picked the anthology up I probably wouldn't have read it so I'm not really the best person to judge this one. I'm not a fan of rape fantasies but I decided to give it a try because I like the author's writing style. I did like Tania at first, she had been through a horrible ordeal after the death of her husband...more

I enjoyed this book a great deal. Drake has a wonderfully filthy mouth, which is always a bonus. Steam practically poured from the pages of this book, despite the uncomfortable subject matter.

(view spoiler)[A few things in the story really left me kind of turned around, though.

1. The mother-in-law, or former mother-in-law. Whatever you call her. Anyway, Gail obviously isn't wrapped too tight. She blames the victim, claims her sweet boy was corrupted, then murdered by Tania, and that Tania is res

I read this at the beginning of December and decided to leave it a while before writing my review.

Shiloh has broached a sensitive subject, and I think she did so with compassion, whilst also bringing into the storyline a sexually explicit role playing theme.

When the story unfolded I was completely drawn to Tania, the main character in this. Her husband died in a car crash, and later she's raped by her brother in law (her deceased husband's twin). I won't go into details further than that, but t...more

When I first read a review about this book over at Smexy Books, I was intrigued on how an author was going to write about such a touchy subject. Most authors won't even cross into the "rape" fantasies because they are considered taboo. Luckily, one of my favorite authors was willing to not only write about it, but blow my expectations out of the water!

Almost every erotic book I have read includes some sort of fantasy or role play during the sex act. What I found interesting in this book is the f...more

I'm going to start off by saying that this book won't be for everyone. Those that are squicked by rape fantasies between consenting adults should probably pass it by. However, if you're willing to give it a try (the book, mind you, not the fantasy), you'll find a well-written look at a traumatized woman trying to take her life back.

Shiloh Walker does a fantastic job painting a picture of the depression and fear that Tania is dealing with. Her request to her dead husband's best friend to help her...more

Tania is tired of living in fear. Tired of being a shell of herself after getting raped by a family member. It’s time to reclaim her life. Asking her best friend Drake to help her overcome her fear of the attack and find her love of sexual role-playing seems like an easy request. Something she would only trust him with.

Drake doesn’t even think twice about saying yes to the woman he’s been in love with for years. He’d do anything to take away her pain. If she needs him to be a sex toy to overcome...more

WOW is all i have to say, but its a good wow bc the details of the sex and forplay are sooo good. shiloh def know how to write her books. i def have to read them all soon.

i cant believe that tania has gone threw all that pain, and death and rape. i just cry to read her getting all that together w in year or 2. i mean she just lost her husband and then eyar after that her husband brother raped her b.c he was a crazy guy about her. o and that she shot him for selfdefance. so really she went threw...more

Okay. Not anyone could write about this subject and make it believable and also make it compelling without making a reader cringe, want to gouge their eyes out, or feel incredibly depressed. I CANNOT CANNOT read books that are going to make me depressed, which is way I am, never going to be a member of Oprah's Book Club – LOL.

Anyhoo, I must give Shiloh Walker kudo's for writing this story and completely engaging me in Tania and Drake's story. I've never met Ms. Walker but I feel a major girl cr...more

When I first heard about Shiloh Walker’s Beg Me, I wasn’t certain if I would try and read it. But after reading some great reviews, I took the chance. The subject matter deals with a heroine who has been brutally raped, who feels the only way she can take back her sexuality and enjoy those forced sex or rape like fantasies she once enjoyed with her husband is to act out those fantasies again with a man she can trust irrevocably. Not many authors I know of can write a rape fantasy romance where I...more

Beg Me was another amazing read from the devious and brilliant Shiloh Walker. The emotion of the characters as they face a shared past that was tainted by a terrifying event is very evident and seeps from the pages as they try and start over. Best friends with benefits is what the agreement begins as but there is no escape when the past comes back to haunt them and they must decide whether to push through the barrier and face it together or allow it to come between them and what they have the po...more

I have to say I really enjoyed this book. Not only was this story intense, but it was emotional as well.

Tania Sinclair lost her husband, and she was brutally raped not long afterwords by his brother. The memories of the attack have united with her memories of her late husband. It left her unable to move on in her sexual life. Tania decides to ask her friend, Drake, who happens to be her late husband’s best friend, to help her put the past behind her by having an affair. Tania knows she’ll be saf...more

My Review:
One word for this book- devastating. Tania lost her husband to a tragic death 3 years ago. One year later, his twin violently attacked and raped her causing her to kill him in self-defense...the man with her husband's face. Drake has always loved Tania even though she was married to his best friend and he will do anything to help her including shredding his own heart to help make her whole again.

This book is so incredibly emotional. The trauma that Tania has been through is simply deva...more

Tania has been living in her own personal hell for almost two years now. After the death of her husband, his twin broke into her house and attacked her, taking all of her fantasies and twisting them viciously so that they have now become her nightmares. She is getting sick and tired of the problems sleeping, looking at her beloved pictures and her very memories haunting her, she takes matters into her own hands and turns...more

Favorite Quote: “Come here, Superman. My man.”

Tania Sinclair not only has lost her husband three years ago, but she went through a brutal rape by her husband’s twin brother a year later. Tania likes her sex rough and she loved to play out rape fantasies with her husband. Obviously her husband never hurt her and it was all just a game in the bedroom. But when her husband’s mentally unstable brother gets wind of the kind of stuff Tania likes, he forces her to have sex.

Two years later, Tania is sti...more

Beg Me by Shiloh Walker won’t tickle everyone’s fancy since the storyline does involve a lot of naughty behind closed doors smexy action. People be forewarned…this is a very erotic short story that includes some bondage, spanking and rape fantasy role playing. In other words…this book is HAWT. There were a couple of times while I was reading it on the elliptical that I had to stop it was that smoking hot. I kept checking my Itouch to make sure it hadn’t caught on fire. This was a very emotional read, as the warning blurb at the beginning of the book points out - Warning: This book involves light bondage play, rape fantasy & role-playing. The acts between the hero & heroine are consensual, but they may not be ideal for all readers...

When I first saw the self-advertisement for Shiloh Walker's Beg Me, I was intimidated by the subject matter. But after reading the reviews, I couldn’t help it – I had to read it for myself. The book deals with a heroine who lost her husband, was raped and now believes she can take back her sexuality, which includes extreme fantasy, by sharing it with a man she can fully trust. She turns to Drake, Kyle’s best friend and now her primary support system.
In its most basic form, Beg Me is a story of...more

The Particulars: Erotic Contemporary Romance , Smashwords, available as e-book,

Why was it in my TBR? I read about it at Shiloh Walker’s blog, and the blurb snagged me.

The Review:

The blurb:

Two years after a brutal tragedy, Tania is taking her life and her fantasies back. All of them. Drake Bennett has wanted Tania for years. Wanted her, watched her, knowing he'd never have her. Now he has a chance, but that chance comes with some strings attached. There's also a good possibility he'll get his hea...more

Beg Me; Would I recommend it? Yes

Review; If you were to ask me to choose which story I preferred I would have no answer for you. I enjoyed both. This story involved more sexual situations, but still it was all about the emotions. I feel this story didn't need to be any longer, as I felt the previous one could have. The story - due to its subject - involved a lot of emotion. I feel th...more

I'll start by saying that I love Shiloh Walker! Not too many authors write such palpable emotion into their novels. I can't say I wasn't forewarned about the content in the synopsis and disclaimer about rape fantasy and BDSM. I should have paid attention to my instincts that this wasn't the erotic novel for me. I've read book that pushed me outside my comfort zone before, but this was way more dark and twisted - too much so for my liking. I just couldn't get to the romance/HEA part with the H/h...more

The heroine was itching to get back on the sadle again by using her expired hubby's BFF to rekindle her fake-rape fantasy. It seemed like she was using him as her punching bag & it's all "me, me, me, traumatized me". Then throw in a psychotic mom-in-law who's off the rocker since losing her twin sons. The rapey stuff as sexual healing tool was lame-o, all 'bout her telling him wot to do & wot not to do. Didnt buy her wanting to wrench the "control" back. U'd think after being raped by he...more

I'm giving 3 stars to the dirty talk in this book, not the book itself. I'm really not fond of the pretend rape. And honestly, I kinda felt like Drake was being raped there at the end and that just made me despise Tania's selfishness and thoughtlessness. That girl needs therapy, not more pretend rape.

I also don't like this safeword nonsense. No wonder guys don't believe 'no means no', since apparently no doesn't mean no and you need to scream out 'Superman' or 'bananas' if things go too far.

So y...more
