Not exactly what I was expecting but still one of those reads that rounds out your understanding of place or people. Sevilla succeeded the most when she set the tone by painting a picture of a town or landscape while adding the right sort of historical details without overloading you with culinary stuff. The chapters on Ordizia and Ondorra were the best. This book was just written when the real craze for Basque cooking was mounting.
