Quivering with fear, the cat and dog pressed against each other in the backseat of the car. The dog whined uneasily. The driver was their owner and though he was neglectful and seemingly unaware of the animals' existence, the dog had given him loyalty and love. The cat, more discriminating, had given her loyalty to the dog.-- From back cover.

Aww.... I was touched. The beginng started, "sniffles." Tabby cat Makita became Council of Ten. Best friend Bennie a colored boxer howled. Second life, this is where the tale begins, her mission. I was so taken by this book and pleasantly entertained. Emotions ran the gamut here and duly noted. Received a book from Goodreads First Read Giveaway. Thank you, Darlene Cruz
I received this book as a winner of one of those online scavenger hunts and unfortunately although the concept is good I just couldn't get into it enough to finish it although it isn't very long.
