Questa è una delle prime raccolte di scritti di Gadda. Ci sono alcune pagine tra le sue più sperimentali e ardue. E ci sono alcune tra le sue pagine più belle.
È vero in generale che, alla prima lettura, la frase di Gadda, spesso sembra voler nascondere il significato, lasciarlo nell'ombra. Carlo Emilio Gadda was an Italian writer and poet. He belongs to the tradition of the language innovators, writers that played with the somewhat stiff standard pre-war Italian language, and added elements of dialects, technical jargon and wordplay.
