Ok, but not recommended.
This started out pretty good, but I began losing interest midway through the book. There were a number of interesting ideas and events, but somehow they weren’t put together in a way that kept my interest or made me care enough about them. I reread Brianna just prior to reading this book, just to catch up with everything that was going on, and I almost wish I hadn't. Then maybe I wouldn't have had the two issues I DID have with Sheala. Judy Mays does excellent world-building, and her characters are multi-faceted. I loved Brianna, and Sheala was an interesting read with lots going on. But it could have been better. It could have been deeper.

Ok, so I want to give this like 3.75 stars but don't think tht's available. I loved it, but there were things left up in the air. I so want to know how this continues!!! Love how the relationship evolves between the main characters after everything Sheala goes through. However, I would have liked to see her character developed some more. The overall story is great. I have to admit that I only read this book so that I could catch up on Brianna, Char and Ban. I really didn't care to know about the story of Sheala and Marljas. I hope the author decides to do the story of Ban. He is a character that I have come to love.
